Happy 4th of July!
Today, let us take the time to think about what America means to us.
For me, America is a country where we are free to speak our minds and go about our daily lives in a manner that is pleasing to us. America is full of people with brilliant ideas. And these people are the ones that make our country great.
Our country was founded on Christian ideals that were supposed to be carried throughout history. Do you know why America was founded? No, not because it supposedly had good beer and cheese--gah, somebody fell asleep during history class. Seriously, dude, it was founded because our fathers wanted religious freedom from the King of England. Our Founding Fathers were smart men equipped with determination. Hey, you try and start your own country and make it work! The going was tough, but, dang, these guys stuck through it--those winters must have been hell--and voila!
Something that I learned in history class this year that shocked me was America was originally run by socialism. Wanna know why we're not now?
Let's back up a second...so we have all these farmers doing what they do best--farming--and they're contributing food and the necessities of life to a sort of "community offering bucket" (if you know what i mean.) And let's say, Farmer William gets injured and can't work for a few months, but after a while, his hamstring feels good as new. Well, he's realized just how easy it is to not work and still get all the food he and his wifey-pooh need. This starts a chain reaction, soon nobody, save for a few farms, are working and whadya know! There's no food! So, now they're cold, starving, and lazy. Hm...sound a wee bit like some folks on welfare, eh?
So after that, we became a Capitalist nation where everyone worked hard and made our nation prosper.
Life in America hasn't been easy. We've gone through numerous wars, depressions, and politicians that seem to care very little for the blessing that is America.
Yeah, you know who I'm talking about...Woodrow Wilson (okay, so maybe you didn't know I was thinking about that one) and Barack Hussein Obama (insert mm-mm-mm's here.)
But the best thing about America is we always pick ourselves back up and shake off the mistakes made by bad presidents/ politicians. There is not a doubt in my mind that whatever damage Obama does, we can correct most of it. Take the Health Care "Reform" for instance. Right after it was passed, numerous states with Republican governors sued. Granted, Democrats did not, but I think if we pitch a fight, something is going to happen. After all, we are Americans and we love this country and we don't want anything to happen to it. It is our bread and butter, our Lady Liberty, our motherland, our home, our life, our liberty, our country.

So as you watch fireworks today, don't just think about how pretty the colors are or how good those 8 hot dogs tasted, think about what our country has been through and how special it is. We are the only country with so much free speech that we can print papers and write blogs much like this one, expressing our opinions. We are a great country.
Be proud of your country, and no matter what the liberals say, America is beautiful.

"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" is Better Than the First Two! Oh My Vampires!

Hey:
So, today I went to see "Eclipse." Say what you want, I loved it. People called it the best Twilight movie yet and I have to say, I agree 150%.
Maybe you have problems with the series, or maybe you're just not a fan of the "poorly-written" novels or the less-than-perfect acting. And I'm fine if you disagree, but just hear me out.
The movie just looked better. Sure, the acting still sucks, but it's better than it was, lemme say. Kristen Stewart plays Bella, a whiny-do-nothing who is torn between Jacob--a shape-shifting werewolf--and Edward--a tortured vampire--and constantly whips back and forth between the two. "Eclipse" was--and is--my favorite book, and now my favorite movie, however, in both Bella annoys the HECK out of me. I'm not ripping the books or movie, but her whimpy attitude was enough to make me gag. It's all "Oh, Jacob!" or "Oh, Edward!" And she proceeds to kiss both of them, just to make sure she's making the right choice by choosing Edward.
Robert Pattinson, that British dude who is everywhere, plays Edward Cullen--the tortued vamp I mentioned--has a much better hairstyle than the last two. And his eyebrows looked better. :)
Taylor Lautner--the shirtless werewolf--is probably the best actor out of the bunch. He doesn't make silly faces or brood into the distance. Believe me, I'm Team Edward, but Jacob's a little less goofy.
The rest of the cast looked amazing and really helped patch up the holes made by KStew's acting, or lack of. Very impressed...

Maybe it was something she didn't say.

Peruvian President Alan Garcia Perez walked out on Secretary Hillary Clinton on Monday during a joint news conference in Lima, Peru, creating an awkward moment for the secretary of state.

Garcia made a statement in Spanish, praising Clinton for being "a woman who represents modernity, a woman who has fought a virtuous struggle for women's rights for a very long time."

He then walked out of the room, leaving Clinton alone to wait for the translation of his comments and to make her own remarks to reporters.

"Well, first let me thank the president for his very kind hospitality today," she said without a hint of irony. Later, she apologized for "keeping him so late that he was behind in his schedule." Then Clinton excused herself, saying she had a meeting to attend.

Pedro Bravo, an official in the Peruvian embassy's political department, told FoxNews.com that it's "not rare" for Peruvian leaders to meet the press individually. But he added he didn't know the details of Perez's ditching of Clinton.

Other officials in the Peru Embassy and officials in the U.S. State Department did not immediately return calls seeking comment.

Clinton was in Peru as part of her weeklong trip to Latin America and the Caribbean for the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), which bills itself as "the Western Hemisphere's premier multilateral organization."

In his statement, Garcia cited Clinton's work as first lady, advocating for women's rights in Beijing and her unsuccessful bid for health care overhaul.

"So we know that she has a calling to serve women, to serve the poor, to serve the people," he said. "And that is why we are very happy to have her here to show that this is – her presence here shows that our friendship will continue our friendship with Peru and the United States."

I hope you didn't think I was just going to give you that mini post and call it good. Nah, I'm doing more than that. haha

Don't point fingers. Don't make excuses. Don't pass the buck.

That was the advice President Obama gave to a graduating high school class in Michigan Monday night -- advice that sent off an irony alert among Republicans who accuse the president of having "spent his tenure" doing exactly that.

Obama offered his guidance during the commencement speech at Kalamazoo Central High School.

"Don't make excuses. Take responsibility not just for your successes, but for your failures as well," he told the graduates. "The truth is, no matter how hard you work, you won't necessarily ace every class or succeed in every job. There will be times when you screw up, when you hurt the people you love, when you stray from your most deeply held values.

"And when that happens, it's the easiest thing in the world to start looking around for someone to blame. Your professor was too hard, your boss was a jerk, the coach was playing favorites, your friend just didn't understand. We see it every day out in Washington, with folks calling each other names and making all sorts of accusations on TV."

He told the students that "pointing fingers" and "blaming parents" and everyone else in their lives is not the road to follow.

Senate Republicans reacted quickly to the speech, sending out a "best-of" list of instances in which Obama was "looking around for someone to blame." The quotes showed Obama using Bush as a scapegoat for everything from the deficit to America's image abroad.

Obama over the past 17 months has selectively blamed the Bush administration for the big problems he now faces.

One of the president's favorite rhetorical devices is the figurative "mop" he uses to clean up what he says were the mistakes of his predecessor.

"I don't mind cleaning up the mess that some other folks made. That's what I signed up to do," he said at a Democratic fundraiser last October.

Obama even chalked up Republican Sen. Scott Brown's upset victory in the Massachusetts special election to Bush-directed outrage in January.

"The same thing that swept Scott Brown into office swept me into office," Obama said in an interview with ABC News. "People are angry, and they're frustrated. Not just because of what's happened in the last year or two years, but what's happened over the last eight years." (source)

Joking aside, Obama acts like he was multiple personality disorder. Like most dems in Washington...
Does he really think we're so stupid we won't remember all the times he been "Bush bashing." I mean, really?

Well, the unfortunate answer to that is...yes.

Like most dems in Washington, they seriously believe we don't pay attention to the news--unless we're watching CNN, of course--and don't read the paper. We are, after all, too stupid to take care of ourselves. The government needs to help us, of course. We're just idiots who've attended their schools and grown up in their controlled cities and states.
Of course, we don't know how to take live without them. Hm, I don't think so.

Yo, Obama, I was wondering, if you don't want students to blame other people, why are you blaming Bush? Oh, that's right, silly me. I forgot you're like a little child who doesn't know how to take responsibility for his actions. And like other democrats, you never want to fess up to your mistakes.
Right...

His inexperience is not only showing through here, but also in the gulf oil spill. His lack of emotion and actions only reminds me that he is seriously inexperienced, and was not prepared for this job.
Why?
He's never worked a job in his life, save for political occupations and ACORN volunteering.
So, therefore, he was no idea how to run a business! Huh, no wonder this isn't working out so purty. :D
I mean, he's more content to go play golf and skip along his merrily way instead of saving the land and the animals. I swear, PETA's always jumping up and down, ready to jump upon anyone who badmouths animals or breaks their rules, but here's Obama not doing anything for these poor animals, and do you see them getting after him?
Sure, they went after him for swatting a fly, but not when he refuses to save these animals? Uh, dude?

Back to the speech, he mentions not blaming parents in there. SOmething tells me he's kinda saying do the opposite of that. I mean, he blames other people, so why shouldn't we?
"Yeah, my job sucks, so I'll blame my parents for making me go get a job."
"Yeah, I'm flunking math, so I'll blame my teacher for making me read."
Doesn't that sound...immature?

Anyways, in all, I don't like this speech. Not because I don't like him, but there's something fishy 'bout it. I don't know, it just sounds kinda...informal, I suppose. He doesn't sound like a president during the speech, but more so a friend. And that's just...wrong, if you know what I mean.

Palin--wait, sorry, I need to mention that I'm no longer closing my posts with "Palin, Love, and Crowder." After I heard that she backed Terry Branstead for governor in Iowa, she lost my support. He is too moderate, which worries me that she is possibly "conforming" to the more Democratic side of the political spectrum. It's too bad; she seemed quite nice back in 2008.

Kid Drank at a Baseball Game...No, Really?

A young child was caught on camera drinking from a beer bottle at a Philadelphia Phillies baseball game Sunday, MyFoxPhilly.com reported.

Video of the unidentified child surfaced on Monday after the Phillies lost to the Padres on Sunday.

In two video shots taken from an official game broadcast, the blonde child is seen with a plastic beer bottle in his right hand, drinking from the bottle.

The child appears to be between three and four years old, and is also wearing a white Phillies home jersey.

Once the clips leaked out on the Internet, it set off another round of Phillies – and Philadelphia – bashing.

“Phillies fans are an illustrious bunch. In the past year, they have vomited, prostituted and been Tasered. Now it appears that childhood drinking can be added to the list,” said the Huffington Post blog.

“Drinking beers at 4-years-old, forced vomiting on people by age 21. Who would allow a toddler to drink a beer, at $9 a bottle, I’m keeping that beer to myself,” said another blogger on Ted Williams Head.com.

The latest incident at the Phillies home ball park comes after two nationally publicized confrontations, where one fan vomited on six people, while another fan had to be Tasered by Philadelphia police on camera. SOURCE

I hardly see this as a humorous or laughing matter, but in a sense, it just shows how much people care about stupid little things like this. I dunno, is it really "breaking news?"
No, probably not.
Still, I think people enjoy poking their noses into other people's business and then making it into a huge deal.

Obama Is a Hover Mother? Bahaha

How's it going, folks?
You may have heard about 'Bam's speech that's been, er, raising some eyebrows...
When I heard about it, I was seriously on the verge of puking...
Why?
No, it's not taxes. No, it's not a new bailout. It's his desire to restrict the access of information...meaning BLOGS! As in the one you're reading right now!

While knowledge is power, the information age could be too much of a good thing. That's the message some heard in President Obama's weekend commencement speech in which he bemoaned

Speaking at Hampton University in Virginia, the president raised alarms when he said "information becomes a distraction, a diversion" that is putting "pressure on our country and on our democracy."

The president suggested less is more when it comes to absorbing news content and urged graduates to take a skeptical eye toward news from blogs, cable television and radio as well as modern gadgets like iPods and PlayStations.

The class of 2010 is "coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don't always rank that high on the truth meter," the president said, earning an honorary doctorate of laws degree during the ceremony.

"And with iPods and iPads; and Xboxes and PlayStations -- none of which I know how to work -- (laughter) -- information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation. So all of this is not only putting pressure on you; it's putting new pressure on our country and on our democracy," he said.

But coming from a commander-in-chief known for his fondness for technology and skill at employing it to his political advantage, Obama's comments were seen as more than just a president's lament that the Kindle could someday replace the hardcover.

"Nobody (has) used the media more masterfully" than Obama, said Brent Bozell, president of the conservative Media Research Center. "Now he turns against certain elements of it because he doesn't need them anymore, he thinks."

Obama has endured some nasty rumors at the hands of the Internet. Blogs and comment pages continue to allege that the president has not been honest about his place of birth -- Hawaii -- or about his religion -- Christianity.

The White House has assiduously rebutted and marginalized those whisper campaigns.

"With so many voices clamoring for attention on blogs, and on cable, on talk radio, it can be difficult, at times, to sift through it all -- to know what to believe, to figure out who's telling the truth and who's not. Let's face it, even some of the craziest claims can quickly gain traction. I've had some experience in that regard," he said.

Targeting cable, radio and blogs has become somewhat of a political sport of the Obama administration.

The president in February, as the health care debate was in a crescendo, urged Democratic senators to "turn off" their televisions. He singled out CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and blogs, urging lawmakers to get out of the "echo chamber." That was after the administration spent several weeks in the fall criticizing Fox News.

Last September, the president also used a string of major network and cable interviews to scold the media for playing up "outrageous" political comments.

Another odd moment came in March, when an e-mail sent to Senate staffers warned them not to visit The Drudge Report out of concern for a virus. At the time, Sen. Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., alleged that "somebody" was intentionally trying to "discourage" people from visiting the Web site, which is highly influential in shaping daily news coverage.

Bozell said to prove his "sincerity" about media and technology gripes, Obama should delete his massive e-mail list and take his staff off TV.

"It's just posturing on his part," Bozell said. "He is trying to put himself in opposition to those forces to improve his status with the public." {source}

I seriously cannot wrap my idiotic teenage mind around this! The fact that he would have the nerve to try and even suggest something like that, gah.
This is just like Animal Farm! I swear to God, it's like they're just ripping pages right out of that book and trying to apply that to America.
In that book--which YOU HAVE TO READ, no joke--Napoleon (who's based upon Karl Marx, btw) and his like henchmen-esque people lie about the 7 commandments that they (the pigs) wrote out. Things on the list--that the animals thought--addressed things like: don't sleep in beds, don't drink alcohol etc. In truth, there was a little phrase that the pigs ended up adding to make the laws okay for them. Like: don't sleep in a bed with sheets, and don't drink alcohol in access. Because the animals couldn't read--preventing them from reading information--the rulers could change the truth, ya know, malipulate it.
See the connection here...Obama restricts the internet, the blogs, the news--*cough*foxnews*cough--and suddenly, whaddya know, he lies about what's really goin' on. Soon enough, we're taxed to Kingdom come and we have no control over anything.
Depressing, much?

This just shows that Obama has this uncontrollable to desire to, uh, control. He's like a, as I like to cal 'em, Hover Mother. They want to control every little aspect of everything.
"No, Sally, don't go there."
"No, Bill, don't touch that."
"No, Bob, don't talk to her."
"No, Edward, don't wear that."
"No, Bella, don't smell that."
Etc.
You the idea--nice little Twlight reference in there, eh?--they tell everyone what to do, when to do it, what's true...blah, blah, blah.

I think that fits, don't you? Mother Obama...heck, in a few years, he'll be Saint Obama...Oh, I'm so gonna get hunted down for that. Anyhoo....

But, yeah. You get the idea.

I think we need to keep a very close eye on this, and see if the drops any more little hints.

Cinco De Mayo Isn't a Real Holiday? Say It Ain't So!

Hey people:
So, before I start my rant, I wanted to give a shoutout to the two newest followers of the blog: "Welcome."

Administrators at a California high school sent five students home on Wednesday after they refused to remove their American flag T-shirts and bandannas -- garments the school officials deemed "incendiary" on Cinco de Mayo.

The five teens were sitting at a table outside Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, Calif., on Wednesday morning when Assistant Principal Miguel Rodriguez asked two of them to remove their American flag bandannas, one of their parents told FoxNews.com. The boys complied, but were asked to accompany Rodriguez to the principal's office.

The five students -- Daniel Galli, Austin Carvalho, Matt Dariano, Dominic Maciel and Clayton Howard -- were then told they must turn their T-shirts inside-out or be sent home, though it would not be considered a suspension. Rodriguez told the students he did not want any fights to break out between Mexican-American students celebrating their heritage and those wearing American flags.

Dariano's mother, Diana, told FoxNews.com she and parents of the other four students are now demanding an apology from officials and are considering a lawsuit.

"We want an apology," Diana Dariano said Thursday. "Who in the United States of America would have an issue with that? It's a sad, sad day."

Dariano said her son has at least four T-shirts with American flags that he wears often and did not try to cause any conflict at school.

"I'm more hurt than anything," she said. "It is so hurtful and disrespectful the way this has turned. These are American kids."

The boys told Rodriguez and Principal Nick Boden that turning their shirts inside-out was disrespectful, so their parents decided to take them home.

"I just couldn't believe it," Julie Fagerstrom, Maciel's mother, told the Morgan Hill Times. "I'm an open-minded parent, but it's got to be on both sides. It can't be five kids singled out."

Galli told NBC Bay Area, "They said we could wear it on any other day, but today is sensitive to Mexican-Americans because it's supposed to be their holiday so we were not allowed to wear it."

In a statement released Thursday, Morgan Hill Unified School District Superintendent Wesley Smith characterized the incident as "extremely unfortunate" and said the matter is under investigation.

"The Morgan Hill Unified School District does not prohibit nor do we discourage wearing patriotic clothing," Smith's statement read. "The incident on May 5 at Live Oak High School is extremely unfortunate. While campus safety is our primary concern and administrators made decisions yesterday in an attempt to ensure campus safety, students should not, and will not, be disciplined for wearing patriotic clothing. This matter is under investigation and appropriate action will be taken."

Officials at Live Oak High School did not return several messages seeking comment on Thursday. A secretary told the Morgan Hill Times that Boden and Rodriguez were unavailable for comment on Wednesday.

According to its website, Live Oak High School is a 1,300-student institution in the southern part of Santa Clara County, with most students residing in the nearby cities of Morgan Hill and San Jose.

"The student population reflects the rich ethnic and socioeconomic diversity of the community," the website reads.

More than 100 students were spotted wearing the colors of the Mexican flag -- red, white and green -- as they left school, including some who had the flag painted on their faces or arms, the Morgan Hill times reported.

While bandannas of any color are banned at the school, its dress code policy does not contain references to American flags.

"However, any clothing or decoration which detracts from the learning environment is prohibited," the policy reads. "The school has the right to request that any student dressing inappropriately for school will change into other clothes, be sent home to change, and/or be subject to disciplinary action."

Freshman Laura Ponce, who had a Mexican flag painted on her face and chest, told the Morgan Hill Times that Cinco de Mayo is the "only day" Mexican-American students can show their national pride.

"There was a lot of drama going on today," Ponce told the newspaper.

Some other Mexican-American students reportedly said their flags were taken away or asked to be put away, but no other students were sent home on Wednesday.

Eugene Volokh, a professor of law at the University of California-Los Angeles, said the students are protected under California Education Code 48950, which prohibits schools from enforcing a rule subjecting a high school student to disciplinary sanctions solely on the basis of conduct, that when engaged outside of campus, is protected by the First Amendment.

If the school could point to previous incidents sparked by students who wore garments with American flags, they could argue that the flag is likely to lead to "substantial disruption," Volokh said.

"If, for example, there had been fights over similar things at past events, if there had been specific threats made," he said. "But if [school officials] just say, 'Well, we think it might be offensive to people,' that's generally speaking not enough."

Volokh said the students and their parents likely have a winning case on their hands if they decide to take the matter to court.

"Oh yes, it's almost open and shut," he said.

Lis Wiehl, a former federal prosecutor and a Fox News legal analyst, said the incident appears to a "blatant" violation of the students' First Amendment right to free speech. She noted that inciting violence is an exception to a First Amendment legal defense, but Wiehl said she saw no indications that the students provoked anyone.

"Unless I'm missing something, this seems like a blatant violation of the First Amendment," said Wiehl, adding that uniforms are not required at the public school. "And they're wearing, of all horrific things, the American flag." {source{

First off, something I found out from Rush Limbaugh is Cinco De Mayo isn't even a real holiday. Surprised? So was I. It turns out it was invented by Corona Beer as a way to sell more beer.
Surprised, again? Me too.

Hm, so, now with that fascinating piece of information, let's re-look at this article.
So, these kids had to change their shirts because of a beer holiday, not even a "Mexican" holiday...nice.

Good God, why does this keep happening!? Again, and again, it's the same thing, repeating itself! I swear, they want to take away our rights, one at a time.
The way I see it, is I'm imagining The Grinch in the Who's houses, silently picking up the little bits and pieces of their joy--aka, Christmas presents and decorations.
Haha, does his creepy smile not remind you of Nancy Pelosi, even just a widdle bit? :)

In my English class, we just finished reading Animal Farm by George Orwell. First off, it's a danged scary book. Not because I'm afraid of some dictator-ish animals, but because I could so see us turning into that. In the end, the animals that revolt, end up turning into what they were revolting from. They turned the farm into a communist dictatorship; which, I can only imagine, is Obama's dream.
They had this one commandment that they kept reciting throughout the book "All animals are equal." Well, in the end, they changed it to what it had been all along, "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others."
Do you not see that beginning to appear in our own Animal Farm? Ya know, the school gets to dictate everything, making the Mexicans seem more "equal."

These "Mexican-Americans" and "African-Americans" really drive me crazy. No, not them specifically, but the hyphenated American part does. Because we're all so worried about being perceived as "racist," we give them special titles. Well, isn't that racism? We're treating them differently than the rest...aren't we? We live in fear of them; which that is so ridiculous. We are America, for crying out loud! We are the melting pot! We don't call people "Italian-Americans" or "Irish-Americans." So, why do they need to be called their own special name? Don't they feel prejudiced against?

I dunno, is it just me, or do you agree with these observations?

Oh, Who's Got Anger Management Problems Now, Dude?

Howdy:
So, here I am--again--back to um, write about stuff. Yeah, it's pretty surprising. My goal, for the moment, is to try and do a weekly post, hopefully.
Therefore, here I be! (Yeah, I'm pretty good at grammar.)

Have you heard about that loopedy-brained teacher from Oregon? (Yes, I made up that word)

The Tea Partiers are taking the high road. Just because Oregon middle school teacher Jason Levin has publicly denounced them as a bunch of "racists, homophobes and morons," they say that's no reason for him to lose his job.

All Levin really needs, they say, is some sensitivity training and some anger management therapy.

Levin, who declared his mission to "dismantle and demolish" the Tea Party on his "Crash the Tea Party" website, was placed on administrative leave last week while a state education board and his school district investigate whether the technology teacher promoted identity theft against Tea Party activists and misused school property.

But the Oregon Tea Party seems to be sipping chamomile. It doesn't want his neck -- just an apology from Levin and the Beaverton School District.

"We don't want to see Jason Levin fired, we want to see him helped," said Oregon Tea Party founder Geoff Ludt. "We want to reach out to him and we want to use his actions to create a teachable moment."

Levin, a media lab teacher at Conestoga Middle School, was placed on leave last week pending the conclusion of an investigation by the Beaverton School District into whether he used school hours or computers to work on his anti-Tea Party website, and if his political activity was appropriate behavior for a teacher of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

He is also being investigated by his state's teachers licensing agency, which was inundated with complaints after his incendiary statements became front page news.

In recent weeks, Levin announced his intention to embarrass Tea Partiers by attending their rallies dressed as Adolf Hitler, carrying signs bearing racist, sexist and anti-gay epithets and acting as offensively as possible -- anything, he said, short of throwing punches.

In an interview with Talking Points Memo, Levin said, "Our goal is that whenever a Tea Partier says 'Barack Obama was not born in America,' we're going be right there next to them saying, 'Yeah, in fact he wasn't born on Earth! He's an alien!'"

And in a now deleted post on website, Levin called on his supporters to collect the Social Security numbers -- among other personal identifying information -- about as many Tea Party supporters as possible at the numerous rallies that took place last Thursday.

"The more data we can mine from the Tea Partiers, the more mayhem we can cause with it!!!!" he wrote.

But the Oregon Tea Party says the teacher's actions are cause for a "teachable moment," not a trip to the unemployment line.

Ludt said his group sent out a press release to both the state agency and school district -- the same school district Ludt attended as a child -- on Monday in which they listed their demands.

The group is calling on the Beaverton School District to:

-- Apologize for inadequately supervising their teacher

-- Issue a written pledge to thoroughly investigate whether Levin encouraged his students to repeat overtly racist statements

-- Send a letter to all staff reminding them of district policy prohibiting teacher engagement in political activity on school time or using school resources

Despite being called “that loose affiliation of racists, homophobes, and morons” among a litany of other offensive names, the Oregon Tea Party says that as long as Levin successfully undergoes anger management and sensitivity classes, they see no reason why he shouldn't be allowed to teach.

"Levin sees us as enemies. We see him as a fellow human being who is obviously very angry and troubled. Political dialogue will never advance if we are unable to treat each other decently as human beings," Ludt said.

"Folks are out there are essentially rooting for the football team -- they're more interested in the games and not really looking at the issues. What we're trying to do is focus on the issues and the best way we can see to do that is to rise above the games.”

As for Levin's website, it has crashed and burned. The home page that once invited readers to help him demolish the Tea Party at all costs now simply reads: "Want to Show your support for Jason Levin? BUY A TEA-SHIRT." (source)

Though, what throws me is why these libs (and Progressives) will scream homophobe, racist, hatemonger, etc. when they're the homophobes, racists, and hatemongers? Hypocrites, much?
Sorry, Levin your argument isn't very well supported; it sounds like a bunch of "insults" (that have, in my mind, been so over used that they've lost the insult that used to be behind them) strung together but there's nothing behind them. Last Thursday, I got to go to my first Tea Party. It was nothing like what he said! Nobody (except the fake people who showed up to make us look bad) were angry, in the least bit! Everybody was EXCITED, but under control. Why? Because we're just normal folks who are miffed at the how gigantic the government's become.
The only thing that upset me that day (besides how Vampire Diaries ended. Yeah, I guess I forgot to mention I am in love with that show. ;D) was the news' coverage of the day. One of the few people they interviewed was one who had a sign with "I Hated Obama Before It Was Cool" scribbled out in marker on it.
Seriously? (That's for the news, not the dude. 'Cuz, man, you have a LOT more guts than I do.)

I think Levin and the people who back him could learn from the Tea Party. They were gracious and very rational about the whole thing. Had this been reversed--this is just me musing here--I bet they would have fired right back with some smart-aleck response, or maybe some a little more violent. Ya know, I just realized something, how come this wasn't covered on the major news stations? Oh, that's right, this might make them look bad. They are so superficial...just like Miley Cyrus.

Hey, here I am again!

More than 1500 Americans have joined a lawsuit against President Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid that challenges the constitutionality of the entire health care law. While several lawsuits are pending against the health care law, this lawsuit may be the only one taking broad aim at the law's constitutionality.

Tennessee attorney Van Irion, a Republican candidate for Congress, filed the complaint Thursday in Eastern Tennessee’s Federal District Court. Irion allows concerned citizens to join the lawsuit through a form on his Web site.

"We've been surprised at how many people from across the country want to join," Irion said in an e-mail to Fox News.

Eighteen state attorneys general and other individuals have filed suits that attack only the specifics of the health care law. This is an attack on the law's very foundation, claiming that nothing in the Constitution grants the federal government authority to regulate health care. Therefore the plaintiffs claim the law violates the 10th Amendment that reserves powers not granted to the national government to the states.

The complaint claims that the high-profile Democratic defendants abused their power and violated their oaths of office. The suit claims they failed to uphold and defend the Constitution by supporting legislation the plaintiffs say is unconstitutional. The plaintiffs argue the defendants violated their constitutional rights, and they are seeking “injunctive relief, declaratory relief,” and “damages to redress and remedy of the violations” to prevent “irreparable harm and future violations” of their rights and the rights of others.

A constitutional law professor at Emory University says this lawsuit is unique because it questions the long-standing interpretation of the Constitution’s commerce clause. That clause, which says that Congress has power to regulate commerce among the states, is central to this lawsuit. During Franklin Roosevelt's presidency, after passage of the New Deal policies, the Supreme Court broadened the definition of "commerce" to allow more federal regulation, setting a precedent that stands today.

“I think [this lawsuit] is different,” Robert Schapiro said . “It doesn’t even really pretend to argue under the way the Constitution is [currently] interpreted. It’s saying we should have some other interpretation of the Constitution.”

Confronting and reversing the court's precedent is Irion's goal.

“It’s a direct challenge to the Supreme Court’s commerce clause precedent of the 1930s and '40s,” Irion said. “If the Supreme Court was to overturn its commerce clause precedent, the size and authority of the Federal Government would be slashed.”

Irion says he is taking this case pro bono. The initial plaintiff was Anthony Shreeve, a Tennessee Tea Party activist, but now the complaint will be changed to include the hundreds of individuals and companies from every state that have signed on as plaintiffs. Irion is seeking class-action status for the suit.

The plaintiff registration process is relatively simple, and any individual or company can participate, according to Irion. After each person signs up, his or her contact information and place of residency is confirmed, and then they are added to the complaint as plaintiffs. No attorney fees or costs will be charged to them.

Though the lawsuit is unique, Schapiro says ultimately it lacks merit, and that the legislation is on firm Constitutional footing, based on precedent from Supreme Court cases on commerce regulation.

“It would be unwise and destabilizing to say we should try to abandon the evolution of the Constitution that has taken place over so many years, and to start from scratch and reconstruct a constitutional system from that,” Schapiro said.

By law, the defendants have 60 days to respond to the complaint. Schapiro says they will most likely move to dismiss the lawsuit “on a number of different grounds.”

The suit was prompted by the Tennessee attorney general’s announcement that he would not file a suit against the federal law. Irion says his intent in filing the suit was to give the citizens of Tennessee a voice, but the idea has caught on around the nation.

Irion is running for Tennessee’s Third Congressional District seat. Long-time Democratic incumbent Rep. Zach Wamp is leaving to run for governor. Irion faces an uphill battle. As of Dec. 31, he had less money than any of the six other Republican candidates, according to federal filing records. He had only $304 cash on hand, compared to Republican candidate Charles J. Fleischmann’s $451,369.{source}

I'm just sick of the media bias--on nearly everything--and the fact that they blame everything on us. We attack Obama--Heaven forbid!--and we're racist. Now, when they attacked George Bush--who I'll admit, didn't make the brightest decisions--it was perfectly perfect. :)

I think now we can do anything. Like clean out Congress in the upcoming elections. The key is to not believe the Dem's lies, keep the support up, and make sure we don't elect any half-Repub half-Lib people. Sen. Graham, is a perfect example.

How about health care?

Before I post the article, and then smother the entire page with my ranting, I'm gonna talk about my opinion of the health care fiasco. I think it's a big pot of yuck. 'Bam and the Gang are trying--and succeeding--to ruin this beautiful country. Do you see any more people with jobs? Does the economy look better? Has Gitmo been closed? Nope. Nada. All Obama's cared about is his danged health care. Oh, it's change alright. But, the point is, it's NOT good change. I've been saying--along with the smarter folks like Glenn Beck and Limabugh--that he never directly mentioned what kind of change we were going to receive.

Heck, we're on the road to Socialism.

If you're "passionate about engaging millions" in advancing President Obama's agenda, the commander in chief has a job for you.

The Democratic National Committee and Organizing for America -- the successor organization to Obama for America -- are seeking a "social networks manager" to oversee Obama's accounts on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. The ideal new hire, according to the official job description, will possess "strong, sharp and personable" writing skills, as well as the ability to craft messages that "move people to act" and managing multiple "complex" projects.

Be prepared to lose some sleep: "Ready to work hard; this isn't a 9-5 sort of job," reads another job qualification.

Candidates must also be willing to relocate to Washington, and preference will be given to those with experience in electoral campaigns and advocacy or nonprofit organizations.

The president's next social network mouthpiece will have his -- or her -- hands full with Obama's 7.5 million-plus Facebook fans, 3.3 million Twitter followers and nearly 2 million MySpace friends. The White House, in contrast, has less than 500,000 Facebook fans.

Recent posts to Obama's Facebook page have included well-wishes to Team USA in Vancouver and calls to "support candidates who fight" for health care reform.

"An alarming new study shows that U.S. health care spending rose to an estimated $2.5 trillion in 2009 and is projected to nearly double by 2019," a Feb. 10 posting reads. "We can't kick this problem down the road for another decade -- or even another year."

The starting salary for the position is unclear, as is the number of applications that have been received since the opening was posted late last week. Several messages to the DNC seeking comment Tuesday were not returned.

Mia Cambronero, who currently holds the position, will step down by the end of the month from her "infamous job as 'Barack Obama's twitterer,'" according to an e-mail posted to a listserv. "We're looking for someone to start immediately," the posting read.

Attempts to reach Cambronero, were unsuccessful Tuesday. She formerly served as a fellow for the New Organizing Institute, a "progressive advocacy and campaign training program" that was established by the liberal political advocacy group MoveOn.org in November 2005. Cambronero graduated from Georgetown University in 2008, according to her profile.

Judging from Cambronero's past, her successor would do well to write lefthanded.

McCain, the daughter of Sen. John McCain known for occasionally parting ways with the views of her Republican dad, was particularly scathing in her assessment of Tancredo's speech on the opening day of the National Tea Party Convention on Thursday in Nashville. In the speech, Tancredo said people "who could not spell the word vote or say it in English" elected a "committed socialist ideologue" because the country does not require a "civics literacy test."

"It's innate racism, and I think it's why young people are turned off by this movement," McCain said. "And I'm sorry -- revolutions start with young people, not with 65-year-old people talking about literacy tests and people who can't say the word vote in English."

Though speakers at the convention repeatedly rejected the "racist" label during the three-day event and held sessions on ways to attract young activists to their cause, McCain pointed to Tancredo's speech as a sign of what's wrong with the Tea Party movement.

"This rhetoric will continue to turn off young voters, and anybody that says different is smoking something -- period," she said.

McCain also criticized her father's former running mate for comments she made during an interview with "Fox News Sunday."

In the interview, Palin suggested that President Obama could improve his re-election chances by declaring war on Iran.

"You should never go to war unless it's the absolute last circumstance," McCain said on "The View."

On "Fox News Sunday," Palin also called for White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel to "step down," in part for using the word "retarded" in a strategy session last year which only recently became public -- but at the same time, Palin defended conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh's use of the word as "satirical."

McCain said that assessment is "exactly what is wrong with politics today."
"We can't placate and say Democrats can say one thing and Republicans can say another thing," she said.

She seriously has no idea what she's talking about. I seriously think it's another desperate attempt for attention. Like most people in the spotlight, they say whatever they want just to see if it will catch someone's eye. And, um, it usually does. Unfortunately.

The way to fix illiteracy idea--which I think is absolutely brillant--is not even half racist. This has nothing to do with racism. I think they're just afraid Obama and idiots--oh, am I racist now?--like him won't be able to cheat their way into office.

An example of why we need this?
I heard this from an friend: She knew someone who was working at the polls, and a woman came in who could not read. And she asked the woman to tell her which one was for Obama.

HOW CRAZY IS THAT!???

If this great thing had gone through before the 2008 elections, maybe our country wouldn't have gone done the toilet as much as it has. I mean, we our country has so much potential, why trash it?

She needs to stop trashing Palin. Palin is 5x the woman Meghan will ever be. At least she can talk normally (see the video at the bottom of the post) And as well, Palin should stop going out for McCain. If this is all the better his bratty daughter can treat her, why bother? As well, McCain's too progressive for Sarah's beliefs.

And, um, call me crazy, but do you see Republicans getting off easy? Hardly. If anything, it's like the Dems have immunity against anything. The case of Blago, for instance, if that had happened to a Republican it would have been 6 times the scandal. Republicans get punched in the nose too often, while the Dems get hugs and kisses just as often. It's ridiculous.

Sarah was right about Emmanuel, he needs to step down. Yep.

The Senate blocked President Obama's nominee for the National Labor Relations Board on Tuesday, as Democrats fell short of the 60 votes needed to break a Republican-led filibuster.

Two Democrats, Sen. Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas and Ben Nelson of Nebraska, broke with their party to vote against Craig Becker in the key procedural vote, which failed 52-33.

The vote also was significant for displaying the GOP's newfound muscle, as it came days after Republican Scott Brown of Massachusetts was sworn in as the newest senator, breaking the Democrats' 60-vote supermajority -- though the measure would have failed even without Brown's help, given Lincoln's and Nelson's no votes.

Republicans have held up Becker's confirmation for months. They say Becker would push an aggressive union agenda at the agency that referees labor disputes between unions and management.
Brown said Tuesday he couldn't vote in favor of Becker.

"My first priority in coming to Washington is to create jobs and put people back to work," he said in a written statement. "Craig Becker's theories about how the workplace should function, if ever put into practice, would impose new burdens on employers, hurt job creation and slow down the recovery."

On Monday night, Nelson had announced he would join the filibuster, a rare move for the conservative Nebraska Democrat, who is fond of saying that having been a governor responsible for choosing his own nominees, he gives great leeway toward a president's choices.

Only in "extraordinary circumstances" does Nelson join a filibuster, he said, a defining phrase that arose from a 2005 judicial nominations impasse.

Many Republicans say they believe Becker has his own agenda when it comes to so-called "card check" legislation, a proposal that would make it easier for workers to unionize. Nelson said he agrees.

This legislation has been stalled since it was first proposed. Sen Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, chairman of the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, is the point man for finding a compromise, working with Democratic Sens. Mark Pryor of Arkansas, Arlen Specter of Pennsylvnia and others.

Nelson has said he is opposed to the Employee Free Choice Act, the formal name for the bill.

"Mr. Becker's previous statements strongly indicate that he would take an aggressive personal agenda to the NLRB, and that he would pursue a personal agenda there, rather than that of the administration," Nelson said.

"In addition, the nominee's statements fly in the face of Nebraska's Right to Work laws, which have been credited in part with our excellent business climate that has attracted employers and many good jobs to Nebraska," he continued. "Considering these matters, I will oppose the upcoming cloture motion and the nomination."

The five-member National Labor Relations Board is responsible for deciding cases under the National Labor Relations Act.

Yea, Republicans! Way to finally get a backbone against these Dems! Maybe getting Scott Browne in--as aprehensive as I was--isn't gonna be so bad after all. Maybe it's finally giving you a much needed confidence boost. It's nice to see something that needs to be blocked, um, blocked.

Goal Shifting...Oh, What Fun...

DId you hear that Obama's "shifting his goals" for the second year? He's going to concentrate less on health care (which I think has something *cough* a lot *cough* to do with Browne getting in office). So, what's he going to do?? COncentrate on education reformation (eh...not so sure 'bout this one) and job tax cuts. (really not sure 'bout that one)

He might be loosening his grip on this crazy dream of socalized health care for the moment, but in a few months or next year...ha, we'll see.

I'm sorry but when we have a communist prez with seriously misguided ideals, would you rather I go around skipping and telling you it's all good? (Do you think I'm a lib? That's purty much what I just described...)

To Save a Life Movie Review by Uh, ME!!!!

Hey,
So, as I promised, I'm going to talk (more like ramble) about To Save a Life.
Well, I went to go see it over the weekend, and my major advice to the girls who go see this BRING KLEENEX!!! Seriously, I was like bawling. Tragic...
So, the stories about this awesome got-it-all-together basketball star (High School Musical esque-ish) who's extremely popular and forgot all about his childhood bestie. Ya know, the swap out the old friend with the hot girlfriend and idiotic jocks as friends.
His friend, in 6th grade, saved him from an oncoming car, taking a blow to his leg, resulting in a permanent limp. Which then lets Jake (the jock) go on to be a basketball maniac.
Eventually, one day at school, Roger (the limping past-bestie) pulls a gun out and begins firing. Jake cautions him not to do anything, but Roger *spoiler* commits suicide.
So, then Jake's all blue about the whole thing (if he wasn't I'd be worried). One thing leads to another, and he starts going to church, his supposed friends leave him (cuz he's too CHristian for them) etc.
His life falls apart, and he finds God. Ya know...
The best part of this movie is Doug Moore played by *drum roll*...Steven Crowder. Yeah, my favorite political commentator. He plays the jerk of a best friend guy. It was nice to see him on a bigger screen then my computer for longer than 4 minutes.
The movie is def worth seeing. It has a good Christian perspective on things teens get shoved at them on a daily basis.
So, go see it if the last sentence piqued your interest...or you just wanna see Steven for a bit. His arms are lot more muscular then his vids let on. bahaha
But as a final note, the movie is a sobering look at what the lure of popularity can sometimes lead to.

An employee at a Philadelphia branch of ACORN, the national community organization under fire for allegations of wrongdoing, has filed a lawsuit in federal court against the two filmmakers who set off the controversy last fall with their undercover videos.

The civil lawsuit filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court in Philadelphia accuses the filmmakers, James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles, of illegally recording their conversation with the worker, Katherine Conway-Russell, and then publicizing the videos, which Conway-Russell says "caused emotional distress, harm and injury."
Conway-Russell is featured in one of several videos recorded by O'Keefe and Giles, who posed as a pimp and prostitute and visited ACORN offices around the country with a hidden camera. The videos, released initially through the conservative Web site BigGovernment.com, showed ACORN employees seeming to offer to help the couple skirt tax and housing laws while setting up a brothel.

Conway-Russell, an office director with ACORN Housing Corporation since March 2008, accuses O'Keefe and Giles of visiting the Philadelphia office July 24 to "entrap ... employees into engaging in inappropriate counseling," adding that she made clear to them that she could only offer assistance with "mortgage possibilities." The lawsuit doesn't go into details of the conversation.

It's hardly the first time ACORN or its employees have responded to the controversy over its operations by suing.

The organization filed a lawsuit in Baltimore in late September accusing the filmmakers and BigGovernment.com of illegally recording conversations at a Baltimore ACORN office and then posting them online.
And in November, representatives for ACORN sued the federal government in an attempt to regain the millions of dollars in funding the community organizing group lost after Congress responded to the undercover videos by voting to block the funding.
ACORN also has faced allegations of voter fraud during the 2008 presidential election.{source}

I really think we should try and stop this lawsuit before it goes any further. This is so unjustified (big word, huh?) that it's just almost crazy. You know, these people could use a little support.
These seriously sick, twisted, racist organiziations need to be stopped. If some republicans had been in ACORN (just pretend here) sure as heck they'd be sued.

I know I shouldn't be getting so excited about Scott Brown winning, but seriously when you think about it, it's purty ah-mazing. I mean, MA is such a lib state that the fact a Republic won is earth shattering. Is MA not notorious for being, well, as my parents call them "pointy-headed libs?" Just stereotyping? Nah.

Here's what foxnews.com says, With 97 percent of precincts reporting, returns showed Brown leading Coakley 52-47 percent, by a margin of 120,000 votes.

As amazing and wonderful--cuz it sends a message to Bam and the Crew that we're not happy 'bout their changes--as this is, I have to admit, now we have a serious prob. Either way--dem or repub--we would be in deep trouble. Now, with the Republican in, they don't have the 60 majority they needed. So, now they're gonna try and ram through this health care bill from hell--look at Canada, folks--in. They've even talked about trying to get it through before Brown even gets to Washington. Conviving much?
So, the little brats in Washington are trying to ruin YOUR lives as best they can. (Mother's heavy hand, ya know)

Harry Reid, a Racist? Oh, no! Whoever Woulda Guessed? Oh, yeah, ME!

WASHINGTON — Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid apologized on Saturday for saying the race of Barack Obama – whom he described as a "light skinned" African-American "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one" – would help rather than hurt his eventual presidential bid.

Obama quickly accepted, saying "As far as I am concerned, the book is closed." Reid, facing a tough re-election bid this year, spent the day telephoning civil rights leaders and fellow Democrats in hopes of mitigating the political damage.

The revelations about Reid's 2008 comments were included in the book "Game Change" by Time Magazine's Mark Halperin and New York magazine's John Heilemann. The behind-the-scenes look at the 2008 campaign that elevated Obama to the White House is based on the writers' interviews with more than 200 sources, most of whom were granted anonymity and thus much of the material could not be immediately corroborated.
Among the details in the book:

_ Presidential rival Hillary Rodham Clinton said she believed Obama's team had used out-of-state supporters to win the Iowa caucuses and had intentionally exploited Obama's race. She said the country faced a "a terrible choice" between Obama and Republican nominee John McCain.

_ Obama and running mate Joe Biden barely spoke, kept separate schedules and seldom campaigned together. The campaign kept Biden off the nightly calls that included Obama, instead having the campaign manager and senior strategist brief Biden separately.

_ Aides to McCain described the difficulties they faced with their vice presidential pick, then-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Steve Schmidt, a senior adviser to McCain, is quoted telling Palin's foreign policy tutors: "You guys have a lot of work to do. She doesn't know anything."

_ Former President Bill Clinton's efforts to persuade Sen. Edward M. Kennedy to endorse his wife's presidential bid fell flat when Clinton told the Democratic lawmaker that just a few years ago, Obama would have been serving the pair coffee.

But what caused the biggest stir Saturday was the Reid statement.

"He (Reid) was wowed by Obama's oratorical gifts and believed that the country was ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama – a 'light-skinned' African American 'with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one,' as he later put it privately," according to the book.

After new excerpts from the book appeared on the Web site of The Atlantic, Reid released a statement expressing regret for "using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African-Americans for my improper comments."

Obama issued a statement saying he had spoken with Reid, who faces a difficult re-election amid frustration from both liberals and conservatives with his leadership in the Senate and his agenda. For Reid, not faring well in polls, the comments can't help, even as Obama relies heavily on him to try to pass a health care overhaul.

Reid's office said he had also phoned to apologize to civil rights leaders, including the Rev. Al Sharpton; NAACP Chairman Julian Bond and Leadership Conference on Civil Rights president and chief executive officer Wade Henderson, as well as veteran political operative Donna Brazile. Reid also spoke with Reps. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., and Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., both African-Americans.

The leaders quickly fell in line supporting Reid.

"While there is no question that Senator Reid did not select the best word choice in this instance, these comments should not distract America from its continued focus on securing healthcare or creating jobs for its people," Sharpton said.

Clyburn, part of the House's Democratic leadership, also supported Reid despite the comments.

"Sen. Reid's apology for his private assessment of President Obama's candidacy should be accepted and our time and energy should be devoted to helping him overcome current obstacles to job creation, health care reform and energy independence," Clyburn said.

Aides to Obama, the Clintons and Biden declined to discuss details of the book.

Palin's spokeswoman, Meg Stapleton, disputed the version presented in the reporters' book.

"The governor's descriptions of these events are found in her book, 'Going Rogue.' Her descriptions are accurate," Stapleton said in a statement to "60 Minutes," which is featuring the book in a Sunday broadcast.
"She was there. These reporters were not."

In 2002, Republican Majority Leader Sen. Trent Lott lost his leadership position for racially charged language; the Mississippi lawmaker said that if then-Sen. Strom Thurmond's 1948 pro-segregation presidential bid had been successful, the country would have been better off.

Obama has accepted apologies about past comments in the past that might be considered racially insensitive.

In 2007, Biden called Obama "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."

And Biden was later invited to be Obama's running mate.

Yeah, I bet you knew I'd start ranting about this sooner or later, huh?
In my mind, of course, I think he should resign.
It's not only due to his racist, unncessary comments. (I'm not trying to defend Obama cuz he's on the road to Socialism) The other part is he is a seriously sick, twisted dude.

And as well, he's been in the senate since 1987! 1987, for crying out loud! You know, the senate is like a bacteria. And a really disgusting one at that. I mean, we have socialists, communists, racists, elitist dems, and pretty much a bunch of ding-dongs. No offense of course.
Anyways, the bacteria keeps growing and spreading, trying to gain more control, overpowering the little people. Harry Reid and many others have been in office way too long. I think we need to clean house every once in a while. Ya know, get rid of the bacteria, and get some antibiotics in there. (aka, Conservatives, good conservatives, at that. No more of this wishy-washy RHINO, Blue Dog crud.)

I really think for the first time in a while, Michael Steele (head of Republican Party) has a good idea. Let's make Reid resign. Seriously, so far, let's see, Anita Dunn and Van Jones have, so why not get some other dummies out of there.

I really wish I could vote. The next election, the responsibility for how far our country sinks is up to you. I know that seems heavy, but we can complain and whine about the senate all we want, but if we vote for charming dude who really has fake values which are no more than an illusion. Listen folks, if he sounds too good to be true, chances are...

Well, yeah so um, vote wisely...and um, don't drink and drive...and always wear your seatbelt...don't smoke.

Anita Dunn has resigned (seriously lady, if you had even a pea-sized noggin you wouldn't be goin' around talking about Tsung your hero, or how you manipulated the media during the campaign. Even John Edwards isn't that dumb. Or maybe not...)

Obama's NOT taking the troops of Iraq. (He sure keeps his promises, doesn't he?)

Happy Holidays? Nope, Merry CHRISTmas

You know what really ticks me off? Happy holidays. Gag me with a spoon.
Is Christmas really so bad?
Stupid athetists. But, what really makes me mad, is how Kwanza, a made up holiday, is now cool. I remember watching this Arthur special, hehe, where Arthur told Buster he should make up a holiday. Something else which makes me laugh, Steven Crowder, yes the conservative dude of awesomeness, played Brain in that movie. And Brain, Crowder, raps about Kwanza. That still makes me laugh.
So, according to the world now, we are celebrating the holidays, we put up Christmas trees, and Santa comes on Christmas Eve...no matter how hard they try, there comes that pesky little word Christmas. Hm, who's losing now?
They can try and take Christmas out of everything but I don't think its possible. We've been celebrating Christmas for such a long time now, that not celebrating it would be like not kissing your girlfriend/boyfriend wife/husband on New Years Eve. (I know dumb example but what'd you want me to say? Easter without the Easter Bunny? I'd love that, cuz HE'S NOT REAL! Speakin' of which they took God out of that holiday too. Shocker! I think not, there are no surprises with them, truthfully.)
So, here's an idea for you, when you're at the store and the clerk tells you Happy Holidays, tell him Merry Christmas with a smile and watch his reaction. You might be surprised.
Oh, just so you know, everytime some dumb commercial says, Happy Holidays, my sis and I correct the tv.

Yep, that's just how we roll...and I don't care that the Jonas Brothers have a song with the same title. "They suck anyways." (New Moon spoof by Evil Iguana. Hil-ar-ious.)

Here is global warming...

While the world's politicians argue in Copenhagen, some scientists are speaking out at an alternative "skeptics' conference."

More than 50 scientists, businessmen and lobby groups met to discuss alternative theories about global warming and climate change, reports the Telegraph. The paper highlights a few scientists, including Professor Henrik Svensmark, a physicist at the Danish National Space Center in Copenhagen, who said the recent warming period was caused by solar activity.
svensmark saidthat the last time the world experienced such high temperatures, during the medieval warming period, the Sun and the Earth were in a similar cycle.

Professor Nils-Axel Morner, a geologist from Stockholm University, said sea-level rise has also been exaggerated by the "climate alarmists" using computer models.

He said observational data from lake sediments, coast lines and trees show sea levels have remained stable.

If these scientists think the temps are rising need to come to the Midwest. I am up to my knees in snow and my fingers are numb from shoveling.
They've made too much money off these lies to tell the truth, and that's why they keep coming up with this stuff. They know its not really getting that much warmer. But Al Gore's raking it in, the scientists are raking it in, ya get the picture.
I really don't like it that they keep coming up with these ideas, and people keep buying it. Were those e-mails not enough proof? They even said that they really didn't believe this stuff.
Sometimes I seriously wonder if these scientists sit on their little behinds thinking up different stupid ideas. I mean, now we're blaming the "cycle."

President Obama's plans for seeking an international agreement at a U.N. climate change conference next week sound precariously similar to his plans for pitching Chicago as the host city for the 2016 Summer Olympics two months ago.

At both meetings, the president scheduled very brief appearances, planning to arrive early and be long gone before any decision was reached. And, coincidentally, the destination in both cases was Copenhagen, Denmark.

Obama's first visit ended in decisive failure, with Rio de Janeiro winning the bid. So is the president setting himself up for a repeat? Or is he facing down his Denmark demons and looking to get his mojo back?

Patrick Michaels, former president of the American Association of State Climatologists and environmental fellow at the Cato Institute, said he has his doubts.

"The president is carrying nothing credible in his pocket, so how can he compel people to do something credible?" he said, referring to the fact that Congress has not passed its cap-and-trade bill.

Obama has traveled abroad extensively -- to summits and conferences and high-level meetings -- since taking office. Those trips have produced a slew of agreements and announcements, but little concrete action. And on some of the biggest issues of the world stage -- the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the Iranian nuclear program among them -- the president's approach has yielded little progress.

Analysts say that while Obama might help strike a broadly worded deal in Copenhagen, a legally binding replacement for the 1997 Kyoto Protocol may be just as unlikely after his visit as before.

Sen. Jim Webb, D-Va., reminded the president of his limits in a letter he sent to the White House last week after Obama announced he would travel to Copenhagen and lay out America's goals for cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 17 percent from 2005 levels by 2020.

"I would like to express my concern regarding reports that the administration may believe it has the unilateral power to commit the government of the United States to certain standards that may be agreed upon (in Denmark). ... The phrase 'politically binding' has been used," Webb wrote. "As you well know from your time in the Senate, only specific legislation agreed upon in the Congress, or a treaty ratified by the Senate, could actually create such a commitment on behalf of our country."

Michaels said that letter alone hurts Obama's efforts in Copenhagen, since it could confirm delegates' suspicions that the president may not be prepared to hold up the United States' end of any grand bargain.

Heather Conley, senior fellow with the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said Obama's travel schedule could also dim his chances of success.

The president plans to stop by on Dec. 9, before heading to Oslo to collect the Nobel Peace Prize the next day. But the climate conference lasts two weeks, from Dec. 7-18.

"The timing is off," Conley said. "He's going to be there the second or third day of the beginning of the negotiations. Political leaders are a bit flummoxed because they don't know how to incorporate President Obama's visit to Copenhagen, which they applaud, but it's not quite in the right sequence to make a concrete agreement possible."

She said any agreement would come at the "very end" of the conference, not the beginning.

The White House said the timing of the president's visit is immaterial.

"I think the president believes that that visit happening at the beginning is just as important as it would be at any point to getting that deal going quicker," White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said.

Many officials at home and abroad have praised Obama effusively for his decision to attend the climate change summit and lay out U.S. targets.

Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., said in a statement that Obama's pitch "could be one hell of a global game changer."
"The fact that the president will attend the Copenhagen talks underscores that the administration is putting its money where its mouth is, putting the president's prestige on the line," Kerry said.

That's a dangerous place for the president's prestige to be, given what happened last time in Copenhagen. The president's other international trips have yielded mixed results.

Obama's eight-day trip through Asia last month didn't result in any concrete victories for the United States, though the president said his talks with Asian leaders could spur economic growth.

In a positive sign, China and Russia -- two nations Obama has reached out to -- later joined the United States and other Western nations in condemning Iran's nuclear activities. But Iran then turned around to declare defiantly that it would develop 10 more nuclear sites.

With Russia, Obama's travels yielded a number of agreements, including a pledge to cooperate more fully on bringing security to Afghanistan and a transit agreement allowing U.S. military equipment and supplies to travel through Russia on their way to Afghanistan.

The two countries also put out a statement setting out target limits for warheads and delivery systems, guiding negotiations for a new treaty to replace the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty.

But that effort has slowed, with administration aides now admitting that both countries will probably need a "bridge" agreement because a new deal won't be hammered out before the current treaty expires Dec. 5.

Elsewhere, the April G-20 summit in London resulted in a pledge for more than $1 trillion in financing to the International Monetary Fund and other institutions. And during the summertime G-8 meeting in Italy, industrialized nations pledged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent by 2050.

But a Kyoto successor is what the international community is focusing on when it comes to climate change. And the split is wide between developed countries like the United States and developing countries like India and China, which are hesitant to commit to binding targets.

The fact that the Senate has not yet followed the House's lead in passing a U.S. climate change bill puts Obama in a potentially weakened position in Copenhagen.

Michaels predicted "a lot of comprehensive hot air" in otherwise chilly Denmark.

"A breakthrough will be claimed when in fact none will exist," he said. source

You probably heard about Tiger (i always wanna type Tigger) Woods' affair. I should probably rant about the fact that there are barely any sane athletes left, that he's probably gonna lose fans and sponsers, and that he made a bad choice. But I'm not going to.

I'm just going to say one thing: leave him alone. He made a mistake, so let's not meddle in his personal life. Sure, it's interesting, but how does it impact your life?

Wonder what all the fuss is about? Read on...

Adam Lambert wants to get close to Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart and the rest of the "Twilight Saga: Eclipse" cast. The singer tells MTV his song "Suburban Decay" would work for the vampire-werewolf-human romantic drama, though "Decay" didn't find a spot on his first album.

"It's a great song and I hope to perform it someday, and I think it will find a home, on a soundtrack or something ... maybe 'Twilight,'" Lambert said. "It just didn't quite fit [on the album 'For Your Entertainment']. It's very theatrical... It's very campy, and it was just a bit too campy for the album as a big picture."
If you're keeping score at home, that means the "Twilight" series higher on the camp scale than Lambert and his infamous American Music Awards performance.

Everybody wants a piece of the Twilight saga. Haven't you noticed? (Kelly Clarkson, Kings of Leon, Jonas Brothers, etc.) And I didn't want any of them, thank you very much!

People, we like the unknown artists, actors, etc. I don't want already popular people who already have a great career (or a really sucky one and they think getting on this franchise will boost it).

Tonight, it's reason #568 (or close to it) why I hate Hollywood.

The case: Stephanie Pratt. Besides the fact that her brother is a total ding-dong, have you seen how skinny she is now?

Her thighs are as big as my sister's, and she's 10!
I get so sick of Hollywood trying to make us feel bad about ourselves if we have meat on our bones. I'm careful what I eat, I exercise, and I'm not stick thin. Pardon me for not wanting to starve myself or purge.
What is with this need to have little stick thin legs? I have this marvelous thing called muscle on my arms. $10 says Stephanie Pratt can't even lift five pounds. If you're that skinny, that's sad. There is no need to be so skinny, unless you have a really awesome metabolism. Then you're off the hook. :)

I really hate these so-called "role models." How about people who A) have contributed something worthwhile to soceity and B) don't dediate their lives to weighing less than 110 pounds.

You know what really bugs me, (besides O'l Obama ducking out of questions with no criticism) judgment.

People judge things without really looking into it. Need some examples, oh, baby, I got 'em.

1. Sarah Palin.

Libs judge the heck out of this poor woman for no reason. Actually, wait, they judge her because she's perfect!! They can't try and judge Hilary Clinton, that lady's so messed up, it's just not even worth it. I have a lot of hope for Sarah, and I think she's going places. Sure, they attack her but I secretly think they like her. Yep.

2. Harry Potter. People judge this one without looking into this one either. Everyone's all "Oh, it's magic! Oh, no! Save me! Aaaah!" People: calm down! Sure, it's magic, ooh scary. The fact that they're wizards is almost just a side part. It's more about the characters growing up. It's not like they're worshiping the devil. Please, it's good vs. evil and good wins. I'm not talking about Philip Pullman, here, okay? It's also the maturity of the kid in question. If you think they're going to start mimicking the books, like doing spells and getting into witchcraft, all right, fine, don't let 'em read them. But don't force your opinion on me. I've already read all the books, and seen the movies, and I love them. JK Rowling is a great author, and I hope she writes some other series too.

3. Twilight. Ooh, babe! People, legalistic people especially, like to name this, "a cult" or label it as the devil's books. I hardly see it that way. These are NOT the stereotypical vampires you've heard of it. They live among people, don't drink their blood, and have a loving family atmosphere. Sounds cheesy? Well, it's not. The way Stephenie Meyer develops it makes it almost believable, and that takes a talented author to do that. Yeah, sure it's a romance, but it's not pornographic. Some people call it "emotional porn," and I laugh. Hardly. Yeah, some girls go gaga over Edward and get a little obsessive, but that's not everyone. There are more calm fans, like me, who love the series, think Edward's a fly guy, but know he's fake. And I can comprehend there's no guy as perfect as Edward. But a girl can dream, can't she? :) People need to stop making judgments about it and read the books. Yeah, it's a vampire book, but it's not disgusting, it's not weird, and it's enjoyable. If people would give it a chance, without a tainted opinion, it might not get such a bad rep. It's a good series, so STOP JUDGING it, a'right? good. :)

I know this barely relates to politics, but I've read a few articles of people discussing the Twilight series, making it out to be a devil's cult. I don't see it that way, and maybe it's just me, I don't think so though. :)

Well, you've probably heard about good ol' Adam Lambert... *cough* pervert *cough*.
This is kinda a raunchy topic so just an fyi, I've edited the article bit. But I'm still telling you where it came from and all that stuff. Like the little said, it's kid friendly. Ya might find it interesting, I s'pose.

Adam Lambert admits he got carried away with his sexually charged American Music Awards performance, but he's offering no apology.

The glam rocker from "American Idol" said on "The Early Show" that his performance would not have caused as much controversy if he weren't openly gay. He also said there were other "adult" moments on the show that caused no outrage.

"I admit I did get carried away, but I don't see anything wrong with it," he said Wednesday. "I do see how people got offended and that was not my intention. My intention was to interpret the lyrics of my song and have a good time with it."

ABC received many complaints about the performance and that network's morning show, "Good Morning America," canceled Lambert's scheduled appearance on Wednesday because it said it couldn't trust what he would do.

"The Early Show" on CBS, perennially third in a three-network morning show race, happily gave him a platform -- interviewing him and asking him to sing.

Lambert admitted he didn't rehearse some of the more risque elements of his award show performance -- a point that particularly upset ABC, which said it was taken by surprise by what he did. In the future, he said he'd try to get these issues cleared before the show.

But he noted that Lady Gaga smashed whiskey bottles during her performance, Eminem rapped about rape and Janet Jackson briefly groped a male dancer.
"Janet Jackson, crotch grab," he said. "I haven't heard one peep about that."

He said that "if it had been a female pop performer doing (his) moves that were on the stage, I don't think there would be nearly as much of an outrage."
"I think it's because I'm a gay male," he added.

Offered a chance to apologize, he declined. He said he didn't consider that there may have been children watching because his American Music Awards performance came at nearly 11 p.m., and that it's a parent's job to monitor what their children are watching on TV.

"I'm not a baby sitter," he said. "I'm a performer."

Asked what he'd do differently if he had the chance, Lambert said, "I would sing it a little bit better."
"I guess I have a tendency to divide people," he added. "Apples and oranges -- you either like it or you don't."

Lambert was scheduled to perform two songs later in the morning broadcast. "For Your Entertainment" wasn't one of them.
"Parents, this is appropriate, I promise," he said at the end of the interview.

If we tried to tell, like we have been, that it's inappropriate behavior, look at what he fires back with. Again, WHAT WITH THE HOMOPHOBIA THING!!!!!!??

I am so glad he didn't go on GMA, he didn't deserve the right to be on television in my mind. Now CBS, the little kiss-ups, has him on. Why am I not surprised?

This is going to sound really mean, but sorry, I really hope his cd fails. I do. I think we should boycott him. No, not because he's gay, but because of his responses to the event and the event itself. Like I think we should boycott Kanye West, Eminem, Miley Cyrus....etc. It's not so much them, it's their actions, and what they say. If they'd behave and shut their pieholes we wouldn't be forced to boycott so much stuff. Like Gossip Girl, or 90210, those are revolting shows with no morals that I just stay away from. How does their sex lives change mine? Same goes for Adam Lambert.

Why do celebs (i.e. Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox, Ellen Degeneres, Pete Wentz) think we need to know if they're bi-sexual or gay? How does it change our lives? They might lose some fan base, ("homophobes") but really not that much. It changes the celebs lives. Jolie has said she's regretted coming out with the truth, and she should. People now-a-days seem to trust too much. Why do we have rape cases coming out all the time? Too much trust in the wrong people. Anyways, the celebs seem to think the public wants to know about their sexuality, sex lives, who's sexy, how awesome they are, their favorite color...etc.

Part of the reason I hate, literally hate hollywood is the celebs. They're too open, skanky, and full of themselves. The most refreshing celebs at this point are Taylor Lautner and Rob Pattinson. Yes, I know they're from Twilight but stay with me here. Watch interviews of them. Taylor comes across as mature yet he doesn't have a big head. I mean, he dated Selena Gomez, I wouldn't put that on his list of accomplishments. No offense of course. :) Rob, is this goofy, 23 year old dude who can barely dress himself. He is not very well put together, and that's nice to see. Most celebs chalk on the make-up, dress shirts, and slicked back hair. Rob, on the other hand, dresses like a hobo. (My friend thinks he looks like he's been having one too many hangovers :D)

Celebs, though they like to forget it, are human. So why people look up to them annoys the heck out of me. Stop screaming at 'em. You're only encouraging big heads. Why do you think Brad Pitt still thinks he's a sex symbol? He's had girls screaming at him since like, ever. BTW, dude, that beard is not doing ya any favors.

Back to Adam, it is ridiculous that he has not apologized. He should. Most of his fan base, correct me if I'm wrong, was teens, wasn't it?(Truthfully, I liked Kris Allen better. Ooh, I'm such a rebel) So, is he just leaving that nice stuff behind him and moving on? Apparently, yes, he is.

He's gonna regret all this someday, mark my words, he will. He seriously cannot feel proud about the way he behaved up their on stage. I really think this is gonna leave a mark on his career. He'll forever be Pervert Boy. Sorry, the truth hurts, doesn't it, Adam?

Ay yi yi, what has television and people for that matter come to? Adam has this semi-compulsive need to flaunt his gay-ness. (yeah, i kinda sorta just made that word up.)

Just out of curiosity, I googled Barack Obama...
So, I scanned the page a couple of times, and at the top, was the link to his official website.
Here's what the synopsis on the google page says:

"Building on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering communities across the country to bring about an agenda of change."

What "movement?" It was just a bunch of libs, and people "charmed" by his "charisima."

"Empowering communities?" Oh yeah, if you means the slums in Chicago and the idiots who voted for him without looking at his background. (no offense of course)

"agenda of change?" Well, I see the change and the agenda. But um, I find it kinda strange they don't mention all the hope he promised? Maybe it's cuz THERE IS NONE!!!! maybe, i dunno.

PARIS — A French lawmaker says she has proposed a bill to ban corporal punishment, including spanking of children.

National Assembly member and pediatrician Edwige Antier says she believes spanking makes children more "sly, lying and aggressive."

The lawmaker says that after 38 years of medical practice she believes that "children who have never been spanked are better behaved, listen more to adults and are more respectful of their authority."

Antier, a member of President Nicolas Sarkozy's conservative party, says 18 European countries already outlaw spanking. Her comments appeared Sunday in Le Parisien newspaper.

French schools are banned from using corporal punishment, but no law prevents parents from spanking their children. Source

If children are naughty, they need to be punished. Now, I can testify spankings hurt, but it kept me from putting gum in my sister's hair.

I mean, kids already cannot play tag at recess, because they're party poopers. Not really, but their reasons are faulty and not very well supported in my mind. :)

Saturday Evening Rant: 9/11 Trials

So, once again, I'm sorry for not writing on my blog. School's just crazy as heck, no kidding.
Before I jump into this messy gack, let me say that, if Steven Crowder ever *shakes head* reads this, this is for you: YOUR TWEETS ARE HIL-AR-IOUS. (yes, I did separate them, so read it as you see it.)

Anyways...

Michael Mukasey, the attorney general at the end of President Bush's second term, ripped his successor's decision to prosecute the Sept. 11 conspirators in a federal court, saying the trial will give jihadists a forum and could compromise delicate intelligence.

Mukasey, in an interview with Fox News, called the civilian trial announced Friday by Attorney General Eric Holder "the wrong place, under the wrong circumstances, in the wrong forum."

"After 9/11, we recognized that we were at war," he said, arguing that military tribunals were created for this kind of case and noting that they have been used since the Revolutionary War and during and after World War II.

"There are forums that allow the presentation of evidence in a controlled atmosphere, where you can limit access to classified information, and where you can receive evidence gathered on the battlefield, not necessarily under the kinds of conditions in which police gather evidence in a conventional case," he said. "That's not true in federal court."

On Friday, Holder announced that the self-proclaimed Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other Guantanamo detainees will be tried in federal court in New York for their alleged role in the attacks that killed 2,976 American civilians -- saying the U.S. will seek the death penalty against the defendants.

Holder said he decided to seek justice against the suspects in federal court rather than a military tribunal because the attacks targeted civilians on U.S. soil. But Mukasey and other critics say the attack was an act of war that should be prosecuted in a military tribunal.

Mukasey said it's unlikely that Mohammed will be acquitted because of his confession and other evidence linking him to the attack. But he added that same evidence could present problems in federal court.

"The real problem is that there is other evidence that may very well come from classified sources, that would be easier to handle in a military tribunal, much harder to handle in a civilian tribunal," Mukasey said.

He added that the trial also puts the terrorists on the kind of stage they seek.

"They want to be on a big stage and there's no bigger stage than New York," he said. source

I agree w/ the fact that they deserve the death sentence, I do not know how I feel about the whole "trial thing." These dudes obviously want attention, I mean, ya don't just go killing Americans so no one will ever know your name. And apparently, they have a deep, festering (that word always reminds me of Fester Addams) hate towards America. Which, fine. If you wanna hate America, sadly, I cannot stop you. I say, which the liberals are gonna freak out about this, that we skip the whole trail and just give 'em the death sentence. Unless you've been sick (I hope not) or just frightfully unobservant, you would know that today is Veterans Day. Hooray! A day to honor the beautiful men and women who have served our country, making it the secure place it is. If it were not for them, who knows how our country might be. Our president could be even more extremist...crazy thought, huh? I mean, for all we know, we could have Kim Jong as our prez. Scary thought, huh?

“Sesame Street” producers are getting criticized for a parody that appears to take a stab at Fox News, and the ombudsman for the show says that the criticism is justified.

In a two-year old episode that was rebroadcast on October 29, the 40-year-old PBS children’s show features Oscar the Grouch making the decision to star his own news network, called the Grouch News Network, or GNN. The skit features CNN’s Anderson Cooper filling in for Oscar as he chats with “Walter Cranky” and “Dan Rather-Not,” parodies on Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather.

But when a muppet caller decides that the news is not grouchy enough, she says she is changing the channel to Pox News.

“I am changing the channel,” the irate muppet says. “From now on, I am watching ‘Pox’ News. Now there is a trashy news show.”

Immediately following the re-broadcast, viewers wrote in to both FoxNews.com and PBS, complaining that the skit was a thinly-veiled jab at Fox and was hardly appropriate for “Sesame Street’s” extremely young audience. The fact that PBS is federally funded prompted viewers to express concern at the shows possible push of a political agenda.

Hours after the broadcast aired, FoxNews.com received e-mails from readers insisting they heard “Fox” and not “Pox.”

A West Virginia viewer told FoxNews.com that her "jaw dropped" when she heard the skit's "inappropriate" material.

"I want to let my son continue to watch the show," Melissa Elam said. "But at the same time I feel a call of action to stop it ... I'm going to be watching a lot more closely now.

The next day, a blogger for Breitbart’s Big Hollywood column slammed “Sesame Street” for its “clear” political message.

“I can’t even sit my kids in front of ‘Sesame Street’ without having to worry about the Left attempting to undermine my authority,” the blogger known as Stage Right wrote.

Sesame Workshop Vice President of Corporate Communications Ellen Lewis told FoxNews.com that the show was merely a parody and would never mention Fox News directly.

And while the script sent from Sesame Workshop’s public relations’ team to FoxNews.com read “Pox,” even the PBS ombudsman Michael Getler said he thought he heard “Fox” as well.

“Everybody who wrote to me heard this as ‘Fox News,’ and I can’t really blame them. When I went and watched the tape for the first time, I thought I heard “Fox” as well, perhaps because of the association one assumes when you hear “news” right after the word. However, when I watched and listened more carefully a second time, it was clear that the character said ‘Pox’ and not ‘Fox’ and the closed captioning that runs across the screen when the sound is muted also stated ‘Pox News.’”

Getler went on to criticize producers for allowing the segment to air.

“I don’t know what was in the head of the producers, but my guess is that this was one of those parodies that was too good to resist. But it should have been resisted. Broadcasters can tell parents whatever they think of Fox or any other network, but you shouldn’t do it through the kids.” (source)

Berlin celebrated the 20th anniversary of the fall of its notorious wall last night with an emotionally tone-deaf decision to erect another one around a U2 pop concert dedicated to freedom.

True, there were no minefields or watchtowers, but the new temporary wall erected before the performance certainly sent the wrong signals.

Only 10,000 fans in possession of previously allocated free tickets were allowed to pass through the checkpoints — yes, checkpoints — to listen to the Irish band.

“It’s completely ridiculous that they are blocking the view,” said Louis-Pierre Boily, 23, a Canadian who failed to get tickets.

U2, in Berlin for the MTV European Music Awards, agreed to play in front of the Brandenburg Gate as part of the Wall festivities which culminate on November 9 — the day the East German regime allowed its citizens to pour across the frontier.

On Monday Hillary Clinton, the US Secretary of State, President Sarkozy of France, President Medvedev of Russia and Gordon Brown will troop to the gate to mark the historic turning point.

By that time, U2 will have moved on and the background music will be provided by Bon Jovi.

Happy November, my fellow un-ding-dongish people!

So, tonight (or whatever time of day you're reading this) I'm a-gonna be talking about The New York Times' article on Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin.

Those people actually had the nerve to compare them to Stalin?! Why aren't they being attacked, and called racist?! If we dare to compare (ha, I'm such a poet) Obama to HItler, it's all, "You're a racist hatemonger!" And they do this and they just blow raspberries in our faces like everyone is 5 years old again. "Look at what I can get away with!" It's seriously like they're being the disobedient child, and we're the good child who gets blamed for everything while they're the ones making trouble. How can that even work? I mean, excuse me for not agreeing with Obama (because his views and twisted and misguided). But I'm not really in the mood to be called a racist, hatemonger, or whatever else gets hurled this way.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't enjoy seeing reporters bowing down at his feet chanting, "Obama! Obama!" cuz everytime they do, I start "mmm-ing." just for the fun of it.
Fox News, 1# I respect them, is they are "fair and balanced," something CNN and MSNBC cannot seem to grasp how to do.
I seriously am so tired of hearing Gibbs, Emanuel, Dunn, etc. avoiding the questions about why they're attacking Fox (besides the fact that it's "not a real news source") and talking about Mother Theresa and Mao Se Tung.

Anyways, I'm getting off topic again.
Bottom line here, Beck and Palin are no where near as manic as Stalin. He killed millions of people. Now, look around, who has Beck or Palin killed? The feminists like to attack Palin cuz she wouldn't kill her baby. (Abortion is murder, ladies, which ever way you look at it. You're tunnel vision is quite problematic)
So, why aren't they getting attacked? Well, you have the Kennedy's and Obama's (and other libs) who are all chanting abortion from the sidelines cheering it on.

Apparently, the Kennedy's have no problem with murder, Ted Kennedy was a show of true colors, wouldn't you agree?

I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, please, but does anyone realize that no one has said anything 'bout this story? I only found this out from my parents. I'm sure if someone called Anita Dunn or one of the Kennedy's or Heaven forbid, one of the Obama's a sadistic, masochistic leader, they would be like, attacked and maybe thrown in the dungeon...jk, I wouldn't expect them to that...or should I?

Bottom line, people enjoy targeting other people without looking at the people from their own parties. Do the libs even give half a wit about the crazies Obama's put into office? Or are they to busy pointing fingers at the GOP? (which I might add, I don't always agree with meself. There's times where I wanna start my own party. The Party of Conservative Patriots...or The Party of Cool People in Peacoats...though that could require everyone to buy a peacoat, they might objec to that...)

The Bill Clinton First Home Museum will soon be a part of the National Park system, a designation that will give the modest structure on a busy street more visibility as a tourist destination.

The two-story, wood frame house on Hervey Street in Hope, Ark., was where Clinton lived from his birth in 1946 at Julia Chester Hospital until age 4. The home was occupied until it was acquired by the Clinton Birthplace Foundation during Clinton's presidency.

The dwelling, which opened as a museum in 1997, conveys a lived-in feeling and is furnished with items that date to the late 1940s when Clinton lived there. A separate visitors center with a gift shop was added later.

The South Hervey Street home served as the center of Clinton's family life for his first 10 years. After moving, Clinton spent summers there, visited on weekends and attended other family gatherings there until his grandfather, Eldridge Cassidy, died in 1956.

The one original piece of furniture from Clinton's time in the house is the living room couch. While visitors are not permitted to touch or sit on the furniture, the home has no glass partitions or roped-off areas, thus preserving the ambiance of a private home.

Museum director Martha Berryman says the people around Clinton provided him with his first notions of "social justice," a theme he carried through his political life and into his post-presidential work.

Displays include pictures of grandfather Eldridge Cassidy's store, where he served white and black customers, which was an uncommon practice in Hope in those days. Cassidy was known to extend credit during hard times, sometimes forgive debts or slip extra food into a family's order.

"This is not lost on a little child with wide eyes and big ears," Berryman said.

Berryman produced a recent find, a snapshot of Clinton as a boy standing in front of the house. The white paint on the house is peeling badly.

"He (Eldridge Cassidy) couldn't afford to paint his house, but he could afford to let families have free food," Berryman said.

Berryman says she regularly straightens out myths - including misperceptions that the family lived in poverty, that Clinton was born in the house, and that his father abandoned him. The future president's father, William Jefferson Blythe II, died in a traffic crash a few months before his son was born.

Berryman said visitors who come from around the world are moved by what they see, and have a sense they are someplace special.
"People want to stand on sacred ground," Berryman said.

Berryman said she expects the number of visitors to grow. The site will formally become part of the National Park Service in 2010, though it is already listed among other federal attractions.

A third of the museum's visitors come from outside the United States, Berryman said. Since the site opened, patrons from 159 countries have visited.

In 1946, the neighborhood was dense with family homes and shade trees. South Hervey Street has since been widened to four lanes and now feeds local traffic to Interstate 30. Across the street from the home is a small used car lot, with a tobacco store next to it. Right down the road is a closed grocery store at the site of what was an ornate Methodist Church.

But other elements are the same as 60 years ago. The house still vibrates when trains pass on the tracks nearby, sometimes rattling photographs free from display panels in the adjacent visitors center. Virginia's bedroom on sunny days is still bathed in light that streams in from the five large windows. The room was Virginia's as a teenager and was hers again when she was a young bride. A bassinet is to the left of the bed, where she cared for Bill as an infant.

The museum also shows how quickly Clinton lost some of his connections to his youth and family life after he entered the White House. His mother died just after the Clintons' first Christmas in Washington. Hillary Clinton's father died in 1994 in Little Rock, where he and his wife had moved to be closer to the Clintons.

Vince Foster, a childhood playmate who lived next door and shared a yard with the Clintons on South Hervey Street, had followed Clinton to Washington to serve as deputy White House counsel. Foster committed suicide in 1993; he had suffered from depression.

Among the photos in the visitors center is one of Clinton with his uncle, Henry "Buddy" Grisham. The two were quite close, partly because they knew each other too well for the presidency to affect their relationship, Berryman said.

"Mr. Grisham never was really impressed," Berryman said, adding that Clinton would slip into Hope unannounced while in office to spend afternoons with Grisham.
Grisham died in 1997, and Clinton gave the eulogy at his funeral in Hope.

The museum also owns the home where Clinton's stepfather Roger Clinton lived with Virginia, Bill and his brother, Roger. That house isn't open for visitors, but an exhibit can be seen through the front window at 321 E. 13th St. The family moved to Hot Springs when Bill Clinton was 7 years old.

Clinton said in his autobiography, "My Life," that the South Hervey Street home "certainly is the place I associate with awakening to life" and that it "still holds deep memories."

AMERICAN FORK, Utah — A rap by four teenagers at a McDonald's has gotten them a bad rap in one Utah city.

The teens were cited by American Fork police earlier this week for disorderly conduct after they rapped their order at a McDonald's drive-through.

The teens said they were imitating a popular video on YouTube. They rapped their order, which begins with, "I need a double cheeseburger and hold the lettuce ..." once quickly before repeating it more slowly.

Spenser Dauwalder said employees at the restaurant told him and his friends they were holding up the line and needed to order or leave.

The 18-year-old said nobody was in line. He and his three 17-year-old friends left without buying anything.

American Fork Police Sgt. Gregg Ludlow says a manager wrote down the car's license plate number and called police. The teens were later cited by officers at a high school parking lot outside a volleyball match.

"We thought, you know, just teenagers out having fun," Dauwalder told KSL Newsradio. "We didn't think it would escalate to that."

Disorderly conduct citations are issued when someone does something to cause annoyance or alarm, Ludlow said. The citation is an infraction similar to a speeding ticket, Ludlow said.

"It was not just that they were rapping, they continued to hold things up," Ludlow said.

Ludlow said the teens were asked several times to speak plainly and that ultimately the manager came outside.

The owner-operator of the American Fork McDonald's said in a statement that the issue was about employees' safety.

"The employee in question felt that her safety was at risk as a result of the alleged actions of these individuals in the drive-thru, not as a result of them rapping their order," franchisee Conny Kramer said in the statement. "As such, she contacted the local authorities."

But Sharon Dauwalder, Spenser's mother, said they will fight it nonetheless.

"We have to," she told The Associated Press on Thursday. "The citation is there."

Bahaha, I'm sorry but I find this hilarious. This hardly classifies as rant material, but haha, I can't keep a straight face reading this. Now, in my opinion, correct me if I'm wrong, this would classify as ding-dong-ish boys. Wooden spoons...anyone? :)

A video featuring a Kansas legislator criticizing President Barack Obama's policies while wearing a hat describing opossum as "the other dark meat" was removed Thursday from YouTube, where the lawmaker had posted it last month.

Republican Rep. Bill Otto said he didn't remove the video, titled "RedNeck Rap," and didn't know why it had been taken down. Google Inc., YouTube's owner, could offer no explanation.

Otto said criticism of the video was unfounded. He said the hat's saying, which he repeats at the end of the short video, refers to redneck stereotypes, not Obama.

The White House declined to comment Thursday, but Kansas Senate Minority Leader Anthony Hensley, a Topeka Democrat, called the video "disturbing." He said it's logical to see the reference as being to the first black president's race.

In the video, Otto pauses after criticizing Obama and his policies, repeats the saying on the cap and adds, "A little greasy, but hey."

"It's a reference to rednecks," Otto said during a telephone interview from his home in LeRoy, a small town about 75 miles south of Topeka. "It's like 'The Beverly Hillbillies,' eating opossum bellies, grits and pigs' feet."

The flap comes less than two months after U.S. Rep. Lynn Jenkins, another Kansas Republican, remarked in a public forum that the GOP was still looking for "a great white hope." She later said she wasn't referring to Obama and didn't know of the phrase's past link to pre-civil-rights era racism.

Attempts by AP to access Otto's video Thursday night resulted in a message stating that it had been "removed by the user." Google spokesman Scott Rubin said if a video is removed for violating YouTube's standards, a message would say so.

"With 20 hours of video uploaded every minute to YouTube, we cannot comment on individual videos," he said in an e-mail message.

Meanwhile, Hensley accused Otto of "bigotry."

"If opossum is the other dark meat, what is the original dark meat he is referring to?" Hensley said. "It is not only thoughtless, but outrageous."

Otto replied: "I don't know where he's getting that."

Hensley, though, pointed to an incident he said happened earlier this year involving Patrick Woods, legislative liaison for the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services.

Woods said he encountered Otto in March while walking between the Statehouse and an office building, and Otto said he'd confused Woods with Rod Bremby, the state's secretary of health and environment. Woods said Otto told him, "I almost shot you. You look at lot like Secretary Bremby."

Otto called it a cost-saving move amid the state's financial problems, but acknowledged Thursday that he believes it's "racist" for the state to have special commissions for some groups and not others.

"We haven't had an Irish-American council or an Asian-American council," he said.

2. The only reason she was pushing for the Olympics to be held in Chicago was this, she owns land where they would have been held. So her land + money to build everything = Valerie's cha-ching

3. She's really, really close with Obama. Too close. She is his "advisor" Alright, so that's not bad, I guess. But that fact that she has so much tunnel-vision that she can't see any other side is what bothers me. She mine as well be socalist like Obama. Hey, it's the truth.

So, before I blog, I just wanted to share this freaky weird dream I had last night.
I was like at the mall and I ran into Steven Crowder and we went out for coffee. Weird, huh? Even weirder...I hate coffee...:)

Anyways, tonight I'm gonna write about the whole stupid 2016 Olympics scandal.

First lady Michelle Obama arrived Wednesday morning in Denmark to lead the U.S. delegation promoting Chicago as the host of the 2016 Summer Olympics.

She will be joined two days later by her husband, who is taking an unusual personal stake in the lobbying effort.

But so are the other heads of state involved. Chicago is locked in a tight race with Madrid, Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo for the games -- and the Obamas will face off against Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva; Spanish King Juan Carlos and Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero; and new Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama.

Michelle Obama's plane landed a little before 11:30 a.m. local time, and she was greeted by a contingency that included Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, his wife, Maggie, Olympic gold medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Chicago 2016 president Lori Healey.

She will spend the next two days meeting with International Olympics Committee members, hoping to persuade them to vote for her hometown. President Obama arrives Friday, and both Obamas will be part of Chicago's final presentation before the IOC in Copenhagen.

Obama would be the first U.S. president to take on such a direct role in lobbying for an Olympics event. His trip is expected to be brief, but some critics questioned whether it is appropriate for the president to hit pause on other pressing issues like health care reform and Iran's nuclear program to pitch his hometown.

But the White House said health care reform is moving along and the president "felt strongly and personally that he should go and make the case for the United States."

Gee, isn't this wonderful. Again, how many times have I written about this, Obama is neglecting his responsibilities to do something else. The Olympics will change (all that hope and change, right?) the world as we know it, oui? Huh, don't think so! Thank God for the critics who have "questioned" whether he should be taking a break from his responsibilities. Glad it's not just me. ;)

Ya know, in my mind, Chicago would be the last place I'd want the Olympics to be held.
Reasons:
1) Crime rate. Hey, an athlete could get mugged if they're in the wrong place at the wrong time
2) Hobos. No explanation necessary
3) The people. Basically the same thing as the hobos, but I think you catch my drift here :)
4) Drugs. Some creep named Ice could waddle up and offer some enhancement drugs and the athlete might take some. Hey, anything is possible.
5) I'm against it, so *pbft* it's illegal to do it. jk

Another thing, they took 2 planes to go discuss this whole thing and yet they're all like, "conserve energy." Yeah, they're not at all hypocritics..hmm

ACORN. OH. My. GOODNESS! They did it again! (and my punctuation is waaay off tonight)

I am so sorry for not updating my blog! I feel awful, but school's just busy.
Let's see, tonight I will rant about...ACORN...:)

ACORN, in response to an undercover expose of potential wrongdoing by some employees, pledged Wednesday to follow through on plans to conduct a thorough internal review of its practices -- on the same day that the organization filed a lawsuit against the filmmakers whose hidden-camera sting brought the community organization to its knees.

The lawsuit, filed in a Baltimore court, stems from an undercover video showing ACORN employees Shera Williams and Tonja Thompson providing advice to two filmmakers posing as a pimp and prostitute on how to skirt tax laws.

The filmmakers, James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles, are named as defendants in the lawsuit, along with Breitbart.com, a Web site managed by conservative commentator Andrew Breitbart, which posted the videos. Breitbart released five similar videos that O'Keefe and Giles recorded in ACORN offices in Washington, D.C.; Brooklyn, N.Y.; San Bernadino, Calif., and San Diego, as well as the Baltimore office.

The videos prompted the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office to launch a criminal investigation, the U.S. Census Bureau to several ties with ACORN and ACORN to fire four of the employees shown in the videos. And on Wednesday, the Internal Revenue Service announced it also was severing ties with the organization.

The IRS said it would no longer include ACORN in its volunteer tax assistance program. The program offered free tax advice to about 3 million low- and moderate-income tax filers this spring. ACORN provided help on about 25,000 returns, the IRS said.

But ACORN says no tax returns were actually prepared at the Baltimore office, and that the audio portion of the video recorded there was obtained illegally, since Maryland requires two-party consent for sound recordings. The multimillion-dollar lawsuit cites "extreme emotional distress" on behalf of two workers who were fired after the video was posted online.

The videos were "clear violations of Maryland law that were intended to inflict maximum damage to the reputation of ACORN, the nation's largest grassroots organizer of low-income and minority Americans," said ACORN attorney Arthur Schwartz. "Unfortunately they succeeded."

At the same time, ACORN is moving forward with its pledge to review its operations. The Boston attorney hired by ACORN to conduct an independent probe of the group vowed a "no holds barred" investigation on Wednesday.

"My name is on the line and so is the name of my firm, so we will call this as we see them," Scott Harshbarger told reporters on a conference call.

Harshbarger, the former attorney general of Massachusetts now serving as senior counsel at Proskauer Rose LLP, was hired Tuesday to lead an "independent and comprehensive" internal investigation into ACORN's activities -- a decision that was met with skepticism from some members of Congress, including one lawmaker who has repeatedly called for hearings into the use of taxpayer funds.

Harshbarger said the probe had not yet begun as of Wednesday and said there was no "specific timetable" for its completion.

ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis, who joined Harshbarger on the conference call, said the organization was "very, very serious" about the review and vowed to "set things straight" following the release of five hidden-camera videos.

"We were just as shocked and horrified as the American public was," Lewis told reporters of the conduct seen on the videotapes. "I will not tolerate such behavior. It is incumbent upon me and my board to set things straight."

Lewis said ACORN officials are cooperating with law enforcement agencies, adding that no subpoenas had been received by the organization as of Wednesday.

Meanwhile, House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Lamar Smith, R-Texas, and House Oversight and Government Reform Ranking Member Darrell Issa, R-Calif., called on the Government Accountability Office to investigate whether ACORN misused federal funds.

In a letter sent to GAO Comptroller General Gene Dodaro on Wednesday, Smith and Issa expressed concern that millions of taxpayer dollars may have been used to support criminal efforts by the organization.

"Congress cannot ignore allegations that federal funds are being used by an organization involved in criminal conduct," the letter read. "American taxpayers are rightly outraged and Congress has a responsibility to act. We need a full investigation into ACORN's use of federal funds and we need the Democratic-led Congress to put a bill on the President's desk to ensure that no future funds are received by ACORN."

The letter continued, "ACORN has a long history of ignoring federal laws. No organization with that kind of a record should benefit from American taxpayer dollars."

ACORN said on Sept. 16 it would stop any "new intakes" -- essentially closing its doors to new clients -- until it completed an internal investigation prompted by the release of five hidden-camera videos that depicted workers advising a fake pimp and prostitute to lie to get loans for a brothel.

The scandal drew criticism from the Obama administration last week as White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs called the conduct depicted on the four videos "completely unacceptable."

"The administration takes the accountability very seriously," Gibbs told reporters.

In addition to a Justice Department watchdog's probe into whether ACORN has applied for or received DOJ grant money, ACORN announced on Monday that it has suspended all 2009 tax preparation services. {source}

Poor Dude from Great Britain

Two British thugs who punched a young man so hard surgeons had to remove half of his skull have escaped charges.

Steve Gator, 26, has been told the teenagers who ambushed him will not face court after British Crown Prosecution Service dropped the case.

The CPS said it did not have enough evidence to proceed but Steve's mother, Nina Gator, expressed her disbelief at the decision.
"Our boy is walking around with half a head -- what more evidence do they need?" Nina Gator told SkyNews. "I can't believe it."

Steven Gator, from Essex, Great Britain, was left seriously brain damaged following the attack as he made his way home from work on January 15.
The two thugs started screaming taunts and abuse at him about his cousin but when he confronted them he was hit so hard he fell back and smashed his head on the pavement. {source}

Health Care...Ooh

I am finally gonna tackle health care. *deep breathe*
Okay, so Obama's been pushing this thing faster than I run a mile. (Which is pretty fast, if I do say so myself)
He's been all like, "This will help everyone." Yeah, everyone who's not smart enough to know what the fine print says.
Or, "This won't put us more in debt?" Yeah, and eating cookies everyday won't make you fat. Hmm...

Watching him giving his addresses on the news, he's beginning to sound desperate. Like, "Oh, please, let me push this through! Please!!!"

Other times, he reminds me of a hypnotist, "We will push this through, we will push this through, we will push...this...through." I thought we elected a president, not a genie.

Let's dig a little deeper, if Canada is trying to bail themselves out of the sinking ship, why are we trying to jump aboard? Just simple logic...nothing else

I don't wanna go too deep into this debate simply because I think it all can be summed up into a simple sentence, "This won't help our country at all."
Simply that, why can't liberals just listen to the people? They might learn a few things.

Oh, well. No offense. Believe me, I don't want people to think I enjoy getting mad at Obama, but he's doing a few things...well, yeah.

Revolving Little Circle...Whoo Dizzy Already

Here's another jaw-dropping story

A lawsuit in California that was filed last month by angry parents who object to a gay-friendly curriculum they say is being foisted on kindergartners could well become a test case for schools around the country.

Parents in the Alameda Unified School District were refused the right to excuse their kids from classes that would teach all kids in the district's elementary schools about gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender alternative families.

The parents say they are concerned about "indoctrination" in the schools, but administrators say the course is needed to protect against sexual discrimination — and that the lessons are protected by laws in California and 10 other states.

Those states, which stretch from Washington to Maine, will now be eyeing the court results in California in a case that warring sides say pits parents' rights against a schools' responsibilities.

The contested California curriculum includes an annual 45-minute LGBT lesson taught to kids from kindergarten through the fifth grade. The kindergartners will focus on the harms of teasing, while the fifth graders will study sexual orientation stereotypes.

The move toward the new classes began two years ago, when teachers noticed that even kindergarten students were using derogatory words about sexuality, such as "f*g."

The FOX News Reporting unit was present at a debate in the school district in May when angry parents pushed back against the controversial lessons, capturing over 10 hours of heated dispute, which saw parents shouting back and forth across the aisle.

Some parents like Carrie Brash said the curriculum is necessary to combat bigotry that was already rearing its head among even young children, who were bullying her daughter in school.
Brash said her daughter had to endure taunting chants of "Lesbian, lesbian, your mom's a lesbian," from kids in school.

But other parents said the new curriculum ignores other kids who have been targeted for abuse.

"My child has been the product of bullying because she's black," said Dion Evans, who noted that students have "never viewed a single video in the classroom" that deals with racism.

But Evans said he wasn't expecting the district to take care of what he called a parent's duties in educating his daughter, as the school is "already (too) strapped for cash to incorporate these changes."

"I know how to successfully parent, educate, and instill value and self-worth in my child," he said.{source}

Wow, just wow. I mean, if we're having lessons on homosexuality (and beyond) why aren't we having lessons on not calling other people (straight people) names. (fatty etc.) I don't 100% agree with Mr. Evans because racism isn't really that big of deal until you make it a big deal.

Ya know, something in my gut tells me she might be getting bullied for other reasons than race. She could be mean or something, dunno? I get so tired of bringing race into everything! And same with the homosexual crowd, if we don't agree with their agenda well, guess what, you're a homophobe. Really? Seriously? Geez. So, if they don't agree with the Christian agenda can't we call them Christian-phobes. That was the short-lived message House leadership sent to lawmakers over the break, as the "on-hold" music that so many constituents hear when they call their congressman was switched from patriotic tunes to smooth jazz standards -- or, as one lawmaker complained, "elevator music."

The switch was quickly reversed, though, following complaints and controversy.

A spokesman for House Chief Administrative Officer Daniel Beard, who reports to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, said Tuesday that after a three-week trial period constituents will once again hear patriotic favorites while on hold.

"The music was changed during recess as a pilot program in an attempt to offer offices a choice of hold music," said CAO spokesman Jeff Ventura. "But based on the feedback we received, the old music was preferred and we reactivated it today."

Some of that feedback came from Rep. Fred Upton, R-Mich., who wrote a blistering letter to Beard on Friday.
"We should proudly embrace our nation's patriotic songs, not callously shun them for elevator music," Upton fumed.
"Believe me, I was not at all happy with how this matter was handled," he wrote, complaining that lawmakers were not told in advance that the patriotic songs would be replaced by smooth jazz.

Upton said during the "pilot program," congressional offices could either choose "elevator music" or no music at all, even though they had used patriotic music for years.

"Certainly we would prefer not to put those who contact our offices on hold; however with the high volume of calls we receive it is sometimes necessary," he added. "Callers routinely express their delight in listening to a few notes of Americana while briefly waiting for their call to go through." {source}

Why they would even think of this idea is beyond my comprehension.
If our lawmakers are obviously Americans, (no, duh) why the heck would they be trying to replace patriotic songs? We are the United States of America, not Russia. We want patriotic songs. Kenny G's a great muscian, but John Phillip Sousa's written a few more important pieces (ok, huge understatement but whatever).

Obama's working overtime to mess up our country, and his approval rating's going down the toilet, and 5 bucks says this isn't going to help us remember his administration in a positive way.

We are America, we will have patriotic songs when we are trying to reach our congressman. And if they try and change this again or anything more major than this, well, it's time to "Give 'em hell, Harry." (Not that I like Harry, he was a jerk to republicans *blows raspberry*.

Thank God they changed it back! sorry, just wanted to yell that. :)

Ya know, I was thinking, if they didn't want us to have patriotic songs on our phones, what will they try to change our pledge of alligence to...

Edward Kennedy is Dead...oh, I thought We Were Mourning...Oh Never Mind

sorry I haven't updated my blog in such a long time. School's just been crazy!

Anyways, as you might have noticed Edward Kennedy has died. Now, unless you've been hiding in some cave, (and if you have, tell me a good one) you've been subject to hours upon hours of mourning. Seriously, at first, until I read the bottom scroll, I thought we were mourning Obama or something.
I'm sorry he's dead, don't get me wrong, I'm not like, "yay he died." Uh, no. But I don't really care for the Kennedy family. Between their politics and staying power. Uh, not really a big fan.
Well, I've been thinking, while the media weeps for him, how about I bring up the issues they may have, *cough on purposely* accidentally skipped over.

Here I go...

1) He killed a woman. In real life, if my neighbor accidentally drove off a bridge with a woman in the car and then fled the scene afterwards, he would be sentenced to jail. Well, with the Kennedy's they are exempt from everything. I mean, with a name like Kennedy they better be perfect. :)

2) He was a major advocate for Universal Health Care which I'm 150% against. That could possibly be one of the worst things for our country.

3) He was in the senate for 46 years. That's waaaaayyyyy too long. Let's see, he was elected in 1962 and Obama was born 1961. Hmm...

4) The dude had a brain tumor. If I was on the senate and had a tumor, I'd be running out of there faster than Road Runner Bird. Instead, he spent his last days working on politics. Me, I'd be spending time with my family and doing things that I hadn't ever done. Nope, not him.

5) Found this on wikipedia:
Senator Kennedy’s political positions are reflected in his advocacy for minority groups regarding racial justice; women’s reproductive rights; gender equality; age discrimination; immigration; gay rights; and civil rights. Ya know what, I don't really care about gender equality and age discrimination. Sorry, but I think there's more important things to care about.

So, there you have it, my opinion on Edward Kennedy's death.

I found this story on Fox News

Kasandra Beekman, 24, was charged Friday with felony child neglect, according to police.

Officers say she left her 8-month-old son in her car with the windows rolled up and the engine turned off Thursday while shopping at a Wal-Mart in North Port.
   Witnesses called 911, and a store manager and a customer gave the baby first aid until paramedics arrived.
     The baby was treated at a hospital and released to the Department of Children and Families.
      Beekman was being held on $25,000 bail.

People like her are the ones who make me sick. If you have a child and you love it, the last thing you're going to do is leave it in the car. Geez! I really don't think this mother deserves the right to be blessed with the joy of a child. Obviously, she doesn't care.

Here's something that probably won't surprise you, people are losing faith in Obama. Hm, I wonder why? Whatever could he be doing wrong?

A new poll says that Americans, concerned over the future of health care reform and anxious about the growing federal budget deficit, are losing faith in President Obama.
The Washington Post-ABC News survey found that less that half of Americans -- 49 percent -- say they believe the president will make the right decisions for the country. That's down from 60 percent at the 100-day mark of the Obama presidency.
The poll published Friday says Obama's overall approval is 57 percent, 12 points lower than it was at its peak in April. Fifty-three percent disapprove of the way he's handling the budget deficit and his approval on health care continues to deteriorate.
The national survey was conducted Aug. 13-17 and has a sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points {source}

Maybe it's the health care reform he's shoving through faster than I can chug a gallon of water.

Or the stimulus money he was giving out as party favors?

Or that he doesn't care what America thinks, he knows everything about everything?

Uh, I'm not really sure if it's just the fact that he croons this song with such skill, or the fact that the melody will stick with you all day. Whatever it is, it works.

Another UK group, this song was the free single of the week on itunes back in March. This song is very bouncy, and is best played while cruising down the highway in a convertible, or with the windows rolled down. (Especially if your dog sticks his moose-lips out the window, and they flap like crazy. Rather entertaining) I was expecting, like Death Cab, for this to be some emo-ish punk band, which, it's not. Just a good song overall.

A Killer is Released...Goody Gumdrops...Hooray...NOT!

The man responsible for the 1988 Lockerbie bombing returned home to Libya on Thursday to cheering crowds, and throngs of people waving posters of the convicted killer, who flew to his native country to die after Scotland released him from prison.
Scotland's decision to free Abdel Baset al-Megrahi outraged some relatives of the 270 people killed when the jetliner blew up over a Scottish town.
Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, 57, spent roughly 11 days behind bars for each victim in the bombing. President Barack Obama said the decision to free the terminally ill bomber on compassionate grounds was a mistake and warned Libya not to give him a hero's welcome.
But thousands were on hand to greet him warmly when his plane from Scotland touched down at a military airport in Tripoli. There was a festive atmosphere with some wearing t-shirts with al-Megrahi's picture. Others waved Libyan and Scottish flags while Libyan songs blared.
The White House declared it "deeply" regretted the Scottish decision as Abdel Baset al-Megrahi left prison and flew to Libya on an Airbus dispatched to Glasgow Airport.
Scotland's justice secretary said freeing the bomber was an expression of the Scottish people's humanity but U.S. family members of Lockerbie victims expressed outrage.

"I think it's appalling, disgusting and so sickening I can hardly find words to describe it," said Susan Cohen of Cape May Court House, New Jersey, whose 20-year-old daughter, Theodora, died in the attack. "This isn't about compassionate release. This is part of give-al-Qaddafi -what-he-wants-so-we-can-have-the-oil."
Some men outside the prison made obscene gestures as al-Megrahi's prison van drove by toward the airport.
Al-Megrahi, who had served only eight years of his life sentence, was recently given only months to live after being diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer.
Scottish Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill said although al-Megrahi had not shown compassion to his victims — many of whom were American college students flying home to New York for Christmas — MacAskill was motivated by Scottish values to show mercy.
"Some hurts can never heal, some scars can never fade," MacAskill said. "Those who have been bereaved cannot be expected to forget, let alone forgive ... However, Mr. al-Megrahi now faces a sentence imposed by a higher power."
Al-Megrahi was convicted in 2001 of taking part in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 on Dec. 21, 1988. He was sentenced to life in prison. The airliner exploded over Scotland and all 259 people aboard and 11 on the ground died when it crashed into the town of Lockerbie.
The former Libyan intelligence officer was sentenced to serve a minimum of 27 years in a Scottish prison for Britain's deadliest terrorist attack. But a 2007 review of his case found grounds for an appeal of his conviction, and many in Britain believe he is innocent.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Thursday the United States disagreed with the decision to free al-Megrahi.
"We continue to believe that Megrahi should serve out his sentence in Scotland," Gibbs said. "On this day, we extend our deepest sympathies to the families who live every day with the loss of their loved ones."
"I don't understand how the Scots can show compassion. It's an utter insult and utterly disgusting," said Kara Weipz, of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, whose 20-year-old brother Richard Monetti was on board Pan Am Flight 103. "It's horrible. I don't show compassion for someone who showed no remorse."
MacAskill said he stood by al-Megrahi's conviction and the sentence for "the worst terrorist atrocity ever committed on U.K. soil."
He said he ruled out sending the bomber back to Libya under a prisoner-transfer agreement, saying the U.S. victims had been given assurances that al-Megrahi would serve out his sentence in Scotland. But he said that as a prisoner given less than three months to live by doctors, al-Megrahi was eligible for compassionate release.
Later Thursday, MacAskill released a letter from al-Megrahi, appealing for mercy.
"I am a family man: first and foremost I am a son, husband, father and grandfather," al-Megrahi wrote. "I have been separated from my family as a result of what I consider and unjust conviction. I have tried to bear that with a degree of equanimity and dignity."
Compassionate release is an established feature of the British judicial system when a prisoner is near death. According to officials, there have been 30 requests for release on compassionate grounds in Scotland over the last decade, 23 of which were approved.
Al-Megrahi's return will be a landmark event in Libya and a cause for celebration. His countrymen see him as an innocent victim scapegoated by the West in a campaign to turn their country into an international pariah. Many will also view his release as a moral victory for their country.
Yet it was not immediately clear exactly how al-Megrahi would be received Thursday night. He could be taken to meet Libyan leader Muammar Al-Qaddafi or appear at an annual rally held every year on Aug. 20 for Libyans to hear a progress report from al-Qaddafi's son, Saif al-Islam Qaddafi , on projects he is working on.
However, al-Megrahi may also go directly to a hospital if he needs immediate medical care.
Qaddafi engineered a rapprochement with his former critics following the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. He renounced terrorism, dismantled Libya's secret nuclear program, accepted his government's responsibility for the Lockerbie bombing and paid compensation to the victims' families.
Western energy companies — including Britain's BP PLC — have moved into Libya in an effort to tap the country's vast oil and gas wealth.
Qaddafi lobbied hard for the return of al-Megrahi, an issue that took on added urgency when al-Megrahi was diagnosed with cancer last year.
Freeing al-Megrahi divided the Lockerbie victims' families, with many in Britain in favor and many in the U.S. adamantly opposed.
Al-Megrahi had been a known figure in the Scottish community near his prison, receiving regular treatment at the hospital. He was visited often by his wife and children, who lived in Scotland for several years.
Briton Jim Swire, whose daughter Flora died on Flight 103, welcomed the Libyan's release, saying many questions remained about what led to the bomb that exploded in the cargo hold.
"I think he should be able to go straight home to his family and spend his last days there," Swire told the BBC. "I don't believe for a moment this man was involved in the way he was found to be involved."
Among the Lockerbie victims was John Mulroy, the AP's director of international communication, who died along with five members of his family.

Ugh, this is just so maddening!

So, this dude goes around people and we just "show him mercy." The government could get a few tips from Davy Jones (POC) "spare no mercy, arg." (Alright, that's not a real quote, but it could work, right? No, maybe not)

Anyways, back to the topic, this is just so unfair I can't believe it. So, hows about we go out and shoot a bunch of people, do you think we'll recieve mercy? Uh, no! In the end, it probably just boils down to a couple of facts

A) He's not white, (I mean, Heaven forbid we show mercy to someone not brown or black.)

B) We gotta keep relations cool with other countries round ye world. Right...

More than anything, I feel for the families. How would it feel to find out that the person who killed your beloved child or wife or husband was released because people wanted him to die in peace? Not really gonna make you feel fuzzy inside, at least I hope not. The families are suffering more than anyone.

Okay, so the dude has cancer, uh, that's sad, but he's a killer. Deep down, I can't really call him a person truthfully, because like J.K Rowling wrote "killing rips apart the soul." (again, not the exact quote, I couldn't find it. She's talking about Voldemort's horcruxes, fyi) Killing really changes a person, and that's why I don't have a whole lot of sympathy. I mean, I'm sorry him or anyone has cancer, don't get me wrong. I do value human life, believe me, I do. But for someone to take away innocent people's life, well, they do lose a little (okay, more than a little) respect from me. Then again, who am I? Just a teenager...simply that.

Burquini's...seriously?

British swimming pools have begun hosting special Muslim swim sessions during which swimmers — including non-Muslims — are banned from entering the pool if their swimming attire doesn't comply with dress code required by Islamic custom.
Under the rules, men must be covered from the naval to the knees, while women, who swim separately, must be covered from the neck to the ankles, according to the U.K.'s Daily Telegraph newspaper.
The special sessions in Britain have elicited anger from critics who say they are divisive and put a strain on relations between Muslims and non-Muslims, the Telegraph reported.
The trend counters developments in France, where a woman has threatened to sue after being told she could not wear her "burquini" — a headscarf, tunic and trouser swimsuit worn by Muslim women – on hygiene grounds, the paper reported.
One British lawmaker defended the Muslim swim sessions, telling the Telegraph that they show an appreciation for certain religious groups, like Muslims, who have strict rules on segregation for activities including sports. {source}

That is just so crazy! I didn't know that the U.K was so symathetic to religion, oh, wait, just the Muslims... because like that British lawmaker said, they "show appreciation for certain religious groups." And of course, the emphasis is on certain. I mean, we couldn't do Christian swim sessions where no bikinis or revealing swimsuits are allowed. That would be descriminating against other people's rights. Yes, because being totally covered up isn't either... no, of course not.
I'm glad the Telegraph said something about it! If the media is always saying, in my case, the wrong thing, it's nice to see them say the right thing. Wow, that's confusing.
They're trying to make this sound really cool, and ya know, the "big thing" by calling their "swimsuits" (ha) "burquinis." Nice, that's like calling drugs candy. Ya just don't do that.
This story makes me remember why I will never, ever move to England. Plus, their health care system isn't making me scoot over there any faster either. But, that's a whole 'nother bloggy.

ACLU Has a Big Mouth

A principal and an athletic director in Florida could be charged with crimes and spend six months in jail after they prayed before a meal at a school event, the Washington Times reported.
Pace High School Principal Frank Lay and athletic director Robert Freeman will go on trial in federal district court Sept. 17. They're accused of violating the conditions of a lawsuit settlement reached last year with the American Civil Liberties Union, according to the Times.
Local pastors and some students and teachers are outraged that Lay and Freeman face criminal charges, and they have protested during graduation ceremonies, the newspaper said.
"I have been defending religious freedom issues for 22 years, and I've never had to defend somebody who has been charged criminally for praying," said Mathew Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, the Christian-based legal group that is defending the two school officials.
But an ACLU official said the Santa Rosa County School District has been guilty of "flagrant" First Amendment violations for years, the Times reported.
"The defendants all admitted wrongdoing," said Daniel Mach, ACLU's director of litigation for its freedom of religion program. "For example, the Pace High School teachers handbook asks teachers to 'embrace every opportunity to inculcate, by precept and example, the practice of every Christian virtue.'"
The case stems from a Jan. 28 incident in which Lay, a local Baptist church deacon, asked Freeman to offer mealtime prayers at a lunch for school employees. Staver said no students were there and the event took place on school property after hours.
Mach countered that the event was held during the school day and Lay has admitted in writing that there were students present, according to the newspaper.
The ACLU contends that the allowance of the lunchtime prayer was a breach of last year's settlement, in which the district promised, among other things, to prohibit all school employees from promoting prayers during school-sponsored events, espousing their religious beliefs and trying to convert students.

That is just utterly ridiculous! The ACLU has too much say-so in instances like this. They have no business getting all huffy because somebody was *gasp* praying. Now, of course, if the principal and athletic director were reading the Qur'an then they would have been awarded for trying to encourage Muslim faith. Which, in my mind, is just amazing they can favor something less believeable over something their ancestors based their whole lives upon! Yeah, read Little House on the Prairie, I don't remember Laura and Mary wearing Burkas and their father beating their mother...do you? Hey, it's the truth.
Everytime someone says something with God in it, the ACLU's all "Oh, no that's offensive, it's ruining our country blah-blah-blah."
This situation in Florida isn't being helped by Dearest Mr. Obama, is it? Wasn't he the one who declared that the United States "isn't a Christian nation anymore?" I thought so.
Yeah, we're obviously not a Christian nation, even though driving around town and stuff I see churches and Christian bookstores more often then I see Muslim Shrines and whatnot.
But, hey, we must embrace all religions, right, ACLU? Well, except those big, awful Christians, of course. ;-)

Free Money? What?!

Have you heard about this?
A $200 back-to-school giveaway for needy kids sparked a mad rush for money on the streets of New York on Tuesday.
"It's free money!" said Alecia Rumph, 26, who waited in a Morris Park, Bronx, line 300 people deep for the cash to buy uniforms and book bags for her two kids.
"Thank God for Obama. He's looking out for us."
Thousands of people lined up at banks and check-cashing shops to withdraw the cash that magically appeared on their electronic benefit cards.
Some rushed out because of rumors the money would vanish by the end of the day.
"Rumors, there's always rumors," said Teresa Medina, who waited four hours at a Pay-O-Matic in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, to get $600 for her three teenagers - just in case they were true.
The no-strings-attached money went to families receiving food stamps or welfare.
Every child between 3 and 17 was eligible for $200, which worked out to 813,845 kids across the state - including 498,866 in the city. {source}

That's great! NOT! The last thing we need to be doing during these crazy times is handing out free money to lower income peeps.
Truthfully, if Obama was really "looking out for us," he'd be trying to create more jobs so these parents wouldn't be forced to stand in line like this.
Welfare, is really just an excuse not to find work. Think about it, you have money for things you want/need and you don't even have to go anything with your life. Great, right? Wrong.
Now, I'm fine with these type of people being on welfare:
A) Out of work. BUT, only for a couple of months. Anything over a year is just ridiculous.
B) Legally immigrated (emphasis of legally) and need help getting started. Only with the getting started part.
C)Ill with something that makes it impossible to work. Only for a while though.

I'm not a supporter of welfare by any means. But, those 3 are the only ones I think are acceptable. You have your views, and they probably differ from mine. ;)

Miley Cyrus, Strike 100# Or is it 101? Oh, well...

Have you noticed how our culture has well, gone downhill? Don't believe me? Really? Did you watch the 2009 Teen Choice Awards on Monday night?

Miley, innocent (ha!) Miley Cyrus was pole dancing! Yeah, you heard me right! She came out of a trailer looking like trailer trash. She was sporting like this kind pretty top until I realize the shirt on purposely exposes her black, lacy bra, dumb fur vest (Honey, summer's not over quite yet) and shorts that were more like undies. Seriously, what's the point in wearing shorts if you're just gonna go prancing around in spankies? (the shorts under cheer leading skirts)
And, the opening lines to her song were...
"I hopped from the plane at LAX... welcome to the land of fame and sex. " Then later in the song the lyrics are, "Nodding my head like, yeah. Moving my hips like, yeah." Oh yes, that's what little girls need to see, you shaking your booty. (I thought disco died?) Well, Miles, I'd say you adapted well to that crazy land out there.
Is she trying to show off for Nick Jonas? Like, "Hey babe, look what I can do." Ooh, that's a great way to earn him back. Keep it up, hon!
Since when is pole-dancing appropriate for children?! They were aiming this show at 10+. I didn't learn about pole dancing till I was like, 11! And even that was too early!
And to top it all off, her parents stood up clapping. No parent in their right minds would seriously applaud to see their daughter dance around a slut...would they? Apparently now they would. She's like Britney Spears' little Mini-Me.
"And I shall call her Mini Brit."
Okay, then.

In conclusion, the only reason people aren't like, publicly calling her a slut and stuff is because she is (loosely, I might add) a part of Disney Channel. Truthfully, I'm surprised they haven't kicked her off yet. She's not cute and perky like she used to be. She is like 16 going on 26. No offense meant, of course!

Obama Girls Mentioned In An Ad? Oh My, They're Being Used As a Publicity Stunt? Huh?

Hey:

I know everyone's talking about the health care reform and everything else, but I decided to talk about a story that kind of made me think...
This poster (below) is causing another controversy coming about.

Apparently, the people at the White House are getting gunchy because a Washington non-profit organization has been putting this poster up in the Union Station Train depot.

The ad features 8-year-old Jasmine Messiah from Florida who has been writing letters to her senators and Representatives to try and get healthier lunches in the cafeteria. She complains that there are no vegetarian or vegan lunches, as she is a vegetarian.
Their argument is that child obesity is at an "all-time high."

Well, Robert Gibbs got defensive and said this:
"Without getting into the specifics, we've been very clear, I think, from even before the administration started, that their two girls would have a very private life, and we want to protect that private life and their privacy,'' He stated, "And we hope that others will be respectful, as many in the media have been, about not using the girls as a publicity stunt.'' (quote found here)

Oh, yes, it would be very mean to be attack to the president's daughters... Since when is this a "publicity stunt"? The company didn't even mention their names! If they said, "Malia and Sasha Obama get healthy lunches why don't I?" then I could sort of understand, I suppose.

Of course the media has been respectful, the two girls aren't really old enough to be like, out there. So they can't really "do anything." How suck-up-ish would it be if the media was like, "Today the lovely Obama girls went shopping today with their marvelous mother, Michelle. The three-some had so much fun." That would sound more like a People magazine article instead of hard-hitting journalism. Just sayin'

Lastly, I 150% agree with this ad, all children deserve to have good school lunches. Not that I'm saying we all should be the same, that's like Communism. Not a believer in that. Ya think? But, I do support the ad, and the little girl, so Jasmine, rock on!

Oh, well, that's just my 2 cents on the whole matter...

Well, Hillary got all freaked out when her translator misunderstood a university student asking her opinion on "an international financial matter."

"You want me to tell you what my husband thinks?" she replied incredulously when the male student asked her what "Mr. Clinton" thought of World Bank concerns about a multi-billion-dollar Chinese loan offer to the Congo.
"My husband is not secretary of state, I am," an obviously annoyed Clinton said sharply. "If you want my opinion, I will tell you my opinion. I am not going to be channeling my husband." (Scroll down for video)

So, your translator misinterprets, and it's like watching the Hulk! (Not that I'm saying she's green and big or anything) Calm down, Hils, it'll be okay. Breathe in, breathe out.
He meant to say Obama not Clinton. Wow, just amazing. She and the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland have the same problem...temper!
Another thing I was thinking about, is why the heck is she in Congo? Shouldn't she be the one greeting the girls who were released, or dealing with the Middle East? Why Congo?
Some people, not shockingly, have been doubting her maturity and wondering if she was really ready to hold this position. I've found myself wondering the same thing. Hmm...

Hey:

Today I'm going to be writing about the Obama Joker Posters which have been creating quite a controversy. Even going as far to call a poster, wait for it, DANGEROUS! Yeesh! How dumb! A poster is a poster!

They've been appearing around L.A. and seen in subway stations etc. (Something tells me Ol' Nancy-kins Pelosi wasn't putting them up)

This has brought up race! Yeah, race! The nice, little liberals are all like, "this is pure racism, aaah!" Oh, really? If at the bottom it had racial words (which I'm not allowed to post) instead of "socialism" maybe I could agree with them on that. But, haven't they realized people are getting making fun of him not because he's black, but because of all the stimulus money and the health care reform he's been promoting.

Ya know, something I don't get, if we make fun of Obama we get called racists, if Vanity Fair does this to George Bush, (below) they get a pat on the back.

Now, I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that I would try to tackle the huge mess of the Harvard Prof. and the police officer. I did my research, like I promised and here it is...

Well, as I understand it, Henry Lou Gates (the black Harvard Prof.) was, according to this abcnews blog, trying to "pry his door open" which resulted in a neighbor calling the police thinking it was a robbery.

"Cambridge police say they responded to the well-maintained two-story home after a woman reported seeing "two black males with backpacks on the porch," with one "wedging his shoulder into the door as if he was trying to force entry."
By the time police arrived, Gates was already inside. Police say he refused to come outside to speak with an officer, who told him he was investigating a report of a break-in."
"Why, because I'm a black man in America?" Asked Gates, according to a police report written by Sgt. James Crowley

Gates...initially refused to show the officer his identification, but then gave him a Harvard University ID card, according to police.
"Gates continued to yell at me, accusing me of racial bias and continued to tell me that I had not heard the last of him," the officer wrote.
Gates said he turned over his driver's license and Harvard ID — both with his photos — and repeatedly asked for the name and badge number of the officer, who refused. He said he then followed the officer as he left his house onto his front porch, where he was handcuffed in front of other officers, Gates said in a statement released by his attorney, fellow Harvard scholar Charles Ogletree, on a Web site Gates oversees, TheRoot.com
He was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge after police said he "exhibited loud and tumultuous behavior." He was released later that day on his own recognizance. An arraignment was scheduled for Aug. 26. abcnews.com>

Well, isn't that wonderful! See, this what I don't get, everyone HAS to bring race into it. Ya know, if we were all colorblind (which we should be!!!!), this sort of thing wouldn't be turned into such a humongous "scandal." Gates is all, "It's race, it's race!" Oh, really? I'm tired of hearing him whine about that "big, mean" police officer. He was doing his job, and I side 150% with Sgt. Crowley. Good for you! You and the other men are great examples of good police work. So, yea for you!
Also, it actually kinda bothers me that Gates had the nerve to say "Because I'm a black man in America." What does being black in America have to do with being arrested. I couldn't care less if you had purple and blue stripes for skin, and your eyes were made out of cotton candy. There you go with the race thing again. But, I think it's really the whole "in America" part. You know what, if you don't like America, go over to Africa or China or go see Kim Jong for a spell and see how awful America is. Same for anyone else who says America's this "land of inequality" or whatever pointy-headed comments you can come up with.

Point 2#

Obama, good ol' Obama, had to get involved. Well, I was hoping (not really, but just kind of) maybe he could look at it fairly instead of judge it by color. Nope! Instead, he calls the actions of the police officers "stupid." Oh, really? It's stupid to do their job? Well, I guess it's stupid for teachers to show up at school, and for security to show up at special events. Hey, I guess he's trying to tell us, "The economy's down the toilet, let's just not do our jobs because that's stupid." Thank you, Barack H. Obama! See, now I don't even need to go to college. Hey mom and dad, I guess we can go to Disney World now. Oh, wait, operating the rides is probably stupid.

By now I'm all ticked off, so then he holds another press conference and then I found this article.

In a surprise appearance before the White House press corps, President Barack Obama said Friday he had called the officer who arrested Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr., and told him he did not mean to malign the Cambridge Police Department.
Obama’s announcement came less than three hours after leaders of several Massachusetts police unions assembled in Cambridge in a show of support for Sgt. James Crowley and called for an apology from the President for calling the arrest “stupid.”
Obama said he could have “calibrated my words differently” in referring during a press conference Wednesday evening to the events surrounding the arrest of the African-American historian by the white police officer.
Obama related that during his five-minute conversation with Crowley, he expressed that both Crowley and Gates had over-reacted when Crowley came to Gates’ house to investigate a report of a break-in.
The president denied that he should have not made his earlier comments on the incident, saying that it was the president’s job to work to improve race relations.

It's about time he apologizes! Was it really his place anyways to call someone or something "stupid?" I think not!
You notice he gets all defensive and is all, "calibrated my words differently." No, I don't think so. You said it loud a clear. Yes, of course, we elected you to improve race relations. Not because people liked your politics, or *cough* skin color. Gosh no! (Please, don't hit me for saying the truth!)

Point 3#

Then, just to make sure the three dudes were all cool with each other, he decides to invite to the White House to have beer in the Rose Garden. Golly gee, I'm so glad they're all chummy chummy with each other! It's so nice that he could take time out from the failing economy, and the health-care reform to have some Bud in the garden. Another thing, did you notice the White House folks described them as the "distinguished police officer and the police officer who arrested him?" the description thingy was found here

They've been trying to mark this as a "learning experience" and whatnot. But to me, it just seems like it's Obama the Shepherd trying to bring the two herds together. Plus, how is this a learning experience? What are we learning? The big mean white guys are out to get the small, meek African-Americans? (wouldn't want to offend anyone with any other terms, would we now?) Yeah, that's great. Can't wait to see this story in the social studies (never history, of course. where did history go?) textbooks...

Well, I wonder how much I've offended people. Hmm, I'm probably pretty good at that.

There was this mum in England, and her son died at 5 weeks of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
So, she was at her funeral and the vicar asked if she would like 10 more minutes to see her son. Of course, she said yes.
Officials at the crematorium, run by a local English council, impose an extra charge if any funeral runs over its 30-minute slot. However, the couple's funeral directors said there was plenty of time for the next funeral which was not due to take place for another 50 minutes. The mother was fined £86 ($173) for spending too long at her son's tiny coffin before it was taken away for cremation.

A council spokesman apologised for making the extra fee. "We understand that sometimes more time may be preferred and so families are offered the chance to book extra time if they need it,’ he said. "This means when funerals that have not taken up this option over-run, a fee is automatically charged. "However, when we learned that there were extenuating circumstances we, of course, refunded the extra charge." <news.com.au >

Gosh! How crazy has our world become if they're doing that, forcing poor mothers to leave their children all because of a time-slot? I wonder how they'd feel if they were fined for staying too long. Father Refuses to Take Flag Down and everyone goes AAHHH!!!

So, I was doing some looking around on Glenn Beck's website and found this story.

Apparently, this father (Mr. Louis Haros) from California made a promise to his son fighting overseas right now to keep up the American flag for his two tours. Due to age, weather, and what not, the flag has become tattered and torn. So, people are trying to make him take down the flag. Neighbors and even just people passing by are protesting him.

Here's a quote I found on Foxnews.com:

Ryan Gallucci, a spokesman for AMVETS, a group of 180,000 U.S. veterans, said while it's a "dicey" situation, the organization would prefer that Haros stop flying the tattered flag.

"It's a national symbol and not just a symbol of one soldier's sacrifice," Gallucci told FOXNews.com. "We would advocate he replace it with a serviceable flag out of respect for those who have gone before."

Here's my opinion on the whole thing...

BACK OFF, FOLKS!

A promise, is a promise like he says in the article. It is nobody's business but his own. Yes, the flag is tattered and torn (see pic below) but it is almost symbolic. The flag could represent the struggles and hardship the family and soldier have gone through.

Anyways, I get so tired of the meddling thing right now! He said he will take the flag down once his son comes home. So, don't worry be happy!

So, I was doing some Internet research on my hero...Barack H. Obama. (wouldn't want to offend anyone but putting his real middle name would we now?)
Heavy sarcasm, people. My real hero is Sarah Palin.
Anyways, I found this story here about Obama complaing Bush pushed bills through too fast.
Here's a few quotes:

BARACK OBAMA: ...When you rush these budgets that are a foot high and nobody has any idea what's in them and nobody has read them.

RANDI RHODES: 14 pounds it was!

BARACK OBAMA: Yeah. And it gets rushed through without any clear deliberation or debate then these kinds of things happen. And I think that this is in some ways what happened to the Patriot Act. I mean you remember that there was no real debate about that. It was so quick after 9/11 that it was introduced that people felt very intimidated by the administration.

Me, oh, my, could Obama be a *looks dramatically left and right* hypocrite? Oh! I said the dirty word! The Messiah is, apparently.
Have you seen him pushing the bills through? It's like whoosh whoosh whoosh. Gee, where'd all the bills go? Oh, that's right he's passed them all! Do you think he's doing this on purpose? I sure as heck do! He knows in 2010 everything could change so he thinks he needs to get every bill possible through. Yeah, ya know, I think if he really wants to be re-elected Ol' Barack here needs to slow down his horses. If he doesn't, well, I'm not sure how high his approval rating is going to be. And I read that his African-American approval rating is faltering a bit partly due to that whole police officer incident. But, no worries, I'll be blogging about that too. But, I'll do my research, I wouldn't want to be labled as writing "stupidly." ;-)

1. I love Steven Crowder!! (Yep that's him...ya know, when he's old enough and I can *cough* vote, well, I'm voting for him. I think he'd make an awesome prez. Yep.)

2. Sarah Palin rocks. 'nuff said.

3. Obama's health care ideas are about as good as sticking pins in your eyes. Very dangerous.
